He commanded Israel to keep the Sabbath from the top of Sinai. Are you not a member of Israel? I am aware that many would claim that the ten commandments were only for the nation of Israel. But you and I know that's a lie. We know that's a lie because every person on the planet is guilty of...

He commanded Israel to keep the Sabbath from the top of Sinai. Are you not a member of Israel?

"If ye love Me, keep My commandments".

Yes, the counter arguments are very confusing and often contradictory.

You as much said so here, but contradict yourself regarding the Sabbath.

Them your entire theory falls down for the same reason. You can't dispense with the commandment while claiming rest. It's both, or nothing.

Were you not the one who was justifying your rejection of a commandment on the basis of your belief you were honouring it spiritually? Why not be consistent with all the commandments? Scrap them all in favour honouring them in your mind, but not with your body?

If the sabbath day is no longer holy, sacred, or blessed, then you ought to be able to show everyone a "thus saith the Lord" as evidence of that. Otherwise, the only authority for any change is your own understanding.

I'm sure your wife would be interested knowing you can in good conscience lie with another woman, so long as you don't lust.

There is nothing wrong with the idea that Lucifer was cast out and yet had limited access as revealed in Job. He attended that council as earth's representative, having taken the kingship from Adam. His access however would have been completely nullified after Calvary when his intentions and...

I do agree with you that in order to be saved, we must believe. But don't you think that's a little generic? Believe in what? Believe in Jesus, absolutely, but for what? This is where many Christians go astray. They believe in Jesus, yes, but do they believe Jesus? As you say, they claim to...

You are right, the circumstances were very different 400 years ago. However, that hasn't changed the Catholic Church from following her long held agenda... to rule the world. She had merely changed her tactics, out of necessity in a changing world, but her ambitions and goals have never...

Aaaah and there it is. The same old stodgy argumentum ad nauseam, when you run out of arguments you resort to suggesting sabbath keepers are honouring the day in order to earn salvation or add to what Christ has already accomplished. Tell me. How far would you get if you suggest to your wife...

But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the...

And that word, iniquity, the Greek ἀνομία anomia , literally means without law. The Christian world is filled with those who believe the law is no longer a Christian thing. It's Jewish they say. It's old covenant they say. We don't need the law to inform us on how to love. Mmmm. The...

You think the reference to a lamb is by accident or a mistake?

So you think Israel was wrong to observe the Sabbath, as per the commandment, and God punished them for doing so by leading them in circles for 40 years? Or did Israel observe the Sabbath carelessly and without love? And you compare Seventh Day Adventists to those who cried out "crucify Him"...

And organized supported missions.

Because they cannot reconcile Bible truth with their own worldly mindset, having no relationship with Jesus and thus not truly converted. They cannot discern spiritual truth with their carnal mind. Simple really. Broadly speaking of course. Rationale and logic a Christian does not make...

The rest? To grant such rest a pre-eminence that supersedes God's specific commandment to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, one should be able to offer some evidence supporting such an edict. In the many years I have been contributing to Christian forums, no-one has yet been able to...
