After 40 years of prayers it is still a mystery to me. I cringe when I see so called prayer keys, so called sure fire methods to get your prayers answered to your complete satisfaction. God would be a puppet if He were moved by such ridiculous notions. Prayers I've just uttered without much...

You don't have to look far, beyond the mountains... To find something to praise our creator and savior for! He made us, gave us our life, caused us to be born again of His spirit and forgave us our sins covering them with His blood, gave us His wonderful Holy Spirit and power to overcome...

God is raising you up for something. No matter your past if you are a saved Holy Spirit baptized Christian then you are a front line soldier of the cross raised up by Jesus to serve your brothers and sisters. There was never a more disorganized, unqualified group than the original disciples...

I find my spirit agitated whenever I see a video of a baby being "baptized". That is being sprinkled with water or a water pistol filled with Holy water or some other method. Unless the baby has a good bath out of the ordeal the entire affair has been an exercise in spiritual futility. Babies...

The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Romans 11:29 (NKJV) For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. There are many attacks against God's gifts through the Holy Spirit, especially the gift of tongues. These attacks are in ignorance of what the scripture says and are...

It was about forty miles from home to my place of work in those days. Living in the country is great but there's a drive if you have a city job. Mine was as an industrial designer in Little Rock. I was driving in one morning when my car blew a fan belt causing it to quickly overheat. Nothing...

Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues Job 29:21 — Job 29:23 (NKJV) “Men listened to me and waited, And kept silence for my counsel. After my words they did not speak again, And my speech settled on them as dew. They waited for me as for the rain, And they opened their mouth wide...

Tongues in the church, tongues aloud that is, are meant to be interpreted. Tongues spoken to yourself quietly in church are for prayer. Tongues outside of church are for building up. Read jude vs 20. I see those that know nothing about the baptism in the Holy Spirit speaking with authority on...

Lust of the eyes, Lust of the flesh and the pride of life. By grace I was saved outside denominational walls and owe no allegiance to any denomination. All my devotion is to Jesus Christ. I love, or attempt to love, those inside denominations even though they try and tell me that everything that...

Fortunately Jesus reached me before the denominations did.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues. Read it in the KJV, my favorite and preferred translation. Job 29:21 — Job 29:23 (NKJV) “Men listened to me and waited, And kept silence for my counsel. After my words they did not speak again, And my speech settled on them as dew. They...

you need to actually READ the 19th chapter of Acts. Paul asked SINCE. Do not allow your dead denomination to kill off the word of God. Which scriptures has God deleted? Acts 19:2-7 KJVS He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not...

John 10:27-30 KJVS My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of...

I'd never heard of the Holy Spirit. Jesus saved me at our rural country place in the Ouachitas. I didn't know what saved was either since I did not go to church. Nevertheless He made me born again then He did the next thing. I saw a woman on TV talking about praying and speaking in some language...

Peace that passes all understanding. Let His peace rule in your heart above all understanding. Understanding is not crucial, not really necessary but peace is. Your experience is wonderful and it's not really necessary that you completely understand it. You are a creation of the master Potter...

Continued from above; Let there be Ham! Let there be ham! Once my wife had bought a nice ham and looked forward to baking it for us. A neighbor lady dropped by and after talking awhile it became clear that they were going through a tight time even to the point of needing food. My wife knew...

For our very survival we must learn to be content believing that God is the master of everything that has to do with us. I'm almost 73 and I'm still a learner, still crying out for God to teach me for the pot can never be equal to the Potter, but is always dependant upon the potter's skillful...

There are of course no little things or big things to God. They are all "light" things to Him not even requiring His two hands. Once I asked Him why the Scriptures always speak of the right hand of God and never mention His left. I laughed when a He said "I've never found anything so hard that...

[/URL] Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Each and every one of us feels so very alone sometimes. Despite...

We were staying at mama's house that night. I'd worked that day while my wife and infant son stayed with my mother. It was Thursday evening, church night for us and we'd eat supper there and go on to church. Driving after work I passed a fruit stand not far from mama's home. I slowed down and...
