    King James Only

We obviously aren't going to be on the same page on this one. The argument is okay IF a person is a "King James Only " as in the second part of the OP, but I have the King James as my daily bible which I believe is the most anointed ....and I have many others on the side if I need to cross...

Now let us see you also post all the dirt and miss quotes on every single other translation. Then indeed we can judge fairly which translation we wish to use.

    King James Only

With the word 'prevented' ...it had 'before' in the margin. Eye of the needle , yes, we had a book by a pastor who lived out there...it explained all the old traditions and strange sayings to the western mind. On that I agree , we read his book and it opened up so much. What irritates me is...

Is it right to be personally targetting each other?

Oh yes at first I wrote to him often...then not so much, as he didn't ever answer other than the once. I haven't tried for over a year now...and have no Facebook link with him either... God bless him , I hope he found happiness... ( which probably includes a new wife )

Is it right to be personally targetting each other?

I find it a very strange verse. It sound very harsh. Which is strange because I equate John as the love books... To me, while there is still life and breath there is always hope...therefore however bad it looks for someone I could never stop praying for them. I'm reminded of King David when...

Is it right to be personally targetting each other?

I still miss Job, and often think of him when on the games , especially the one " Last one to posts wins"...sigh...good days. I really do wonder how many people have left this site because of being sideswiped and or battered in a post. I almost did twice back in the earlier days...but have...

John 3:5... YES! ANOTHER BAPTISM THREAD!

Only what Jesus says about the Living Water of which we are to drink continually...which is Himself...as is the Bead of Heaven. I have been water baptised ... a one shot deal...but the living Water is a daily experience. The children of Israel are a good picture ..." they were all baptized in...

They look awesome... But, Oh NO Pat...I see you too have been corrupted too, in using cream...what happened to the good old custard?

    Share Your Favorite Christmas Songs

I love the small ones, I find the mince sometimes a bit sharp and others over sweet...so I like the small ones with the extra pastry. The large pies are good too...but must have custard right? Over here they don't use it...they have cream with mince pies. Now my fav is still Trifle... I would...

Is water baptism necessary for salvation?

And some days I just wish there was a lot more lightheartedness on here, to dilute the heaviness when things get too tense. ( for me) :)

    Are Your Beliefs Absolute Truths?

OP ....are-your-beliefs-absolute-truths... Depends which truths I am speaking about... Some are 100% absolute Truth ... ..others are beliefs I have and hold that I 'believe' are true. :)

    I feel bad

Aah we lived in London until I was 13 , then we moved way south from London ...I think the sunshine quits north of London LOL The south is very sunny. Yes , all of my childhood memories are just one long summer day... ...weren't yours? :)

    I feel bad

John I for sure don't miss the England that IS, I found that out during all of our trips back home...I miss the England which was. And many days I miss the "ME that was" too :D I must admit that weather-wise...I am much healthier in Canada , even in Alberta...some provinces are humid...

John 3:5... YES! ANOTHER BAPTISM THREAD!

I'm 100% with @FHII on this one....all the way. Sorry guys , but the regenerating Living Water that Jesus spoke about is of so much greater importance that all the silly quibbling about wet water that cannot do anything for anyone....except keep out flesh alive when we need a drink...but...

    King James Only

I don't usually , or ever...disagree with you :) But here I do...I don't remember ever going to anyone since 1964 and asking them what something means. My dad taught us to go to God and ask Him to open our eyes and anoint them to see. I am a King James Only ...but not if what the second half...

    King James Only

In my own opinion I would say because of the words we use 'these days' mean something different than they did back in 1600's.. The first KJV I had said .. the word 'prevented him' ( at the tomb) meaning in 1600's 'went before' ( got in there first) ..these days when we read prevented ...it...

What's the weather like where you are?

I dont like those kind of promises OL Today is bright, but minus 16 again...with a bitter wind. I "think" next week is going to be a bit better, but I doubt we will see zero again for a long while. :(
