Jesus proclaims to pray to the Father.

These are big questions/matters, so one at a time: Jesus did not "become" One with the Father, but was One before--for eternity. Then He "became" the "image" of God like all other men, and when God's concept of extending His tent to include mankind was "finished", Jesus was no longer an "image"...

    After effects

There are "necessities" and then there are "rights." Most people understand that they are different, and there are not guarantees or rights when it comes to basic personal needs that one would normally assume to be personal care and responsibility. There are many measures taken to care for those...

    Transitioning from BELIEVING to KNOWING.

For sure, but what would you say is His method--basically His part is, in communicating with us? We communicate with each other by talking or writing, and a multitude of gestures. But how would you describe His communication method(s) with humanity?

    Transitioning from BELIEVING to KNOWING.

It seems like a good time to ask the question: What are God's main established method(s) of communication and revelation with us? How would you answer? It would be good to hear where people are at--what your understanding of God's method(s) actually are. This would appear to be an essential...

Other than the typical human issues of living in a body of flesh and a fallen world--doing great! RHS Thanks for your comments!

You will indeed be with God.

Jesus proclaims to pray to the Father.

That is great advice. It does not, however, properly define who Jesus is. The issue of who Jesus is, is only to be understood properly from God's perspective, rather than our own. In other words, putting ourselves in God's position, it would be like one of us sending images online to explain...

Jesus proclaims to pray to the Father.

I have not been saying what I merely "believe."

    After effects

How do you mean? Do you mean, food, possessions, love, truth, what exactly? But, do remember, according to my illness analogy, only certain of those offer a cure. Only some of those would get to the root of what is actually the problem. You see...and to answer your question...we don't...

    After effects

Guilty as charged. However, that all speaks of this physical world...like symptoms speak of illness. There is no cure in that approach. Yes, we've run short of band aids, but they were never going to heal us. First aid is good, and it does help, but that is not the real need.

    Transitioning from BELIEVING to KNOWING.

Unfortunately, even faith can be shaken. But, yes, we have been warned. But the point is, as a church, as children of God, as students of the scriptures, as those upon whom the light of God has been cast--we have not learned how each revelation comes to us. And when pressed, most act like they...

Jesus proclaims to pray to the Father.

You are trying to rationalize and promote what you yourself believe as if Jesus was only a man--by your own understanding, against the counsel of God. You are simply wrong. He was before the foundation of the world, and defined by God Himself as His own image, His own word, His own right...
  13. ScottA

Jesus proclaims to pray to the Father.

Did any of us--did you, have your own right hand create the universe? Did you give identity and voice to Him to speak your word? Did you choose a people to be your own, to set as a light upon a hill, that all may see and believe? Did you send your servants ahead with your word, only to have...

    Transitioning from BELIEVING to KNOWING.

It is the strangest thing! After two thousand years and the establishing of the Christian Bible (to say nothing of Judaism or other beliefs), everyone seems to be set in their ways. I mean like a petrified forest--pillars of stone! Before that, before this Christian age, there were all kinds of...

The one who is still to come

My only response to your comment was sadness, because in spite of me, I only explained what is not mine, but what is written...and you did not see it and blamed me for being open and transparent about it, when though I may appear to be vague out of humility, I have every reason to be more than bold.

    OSAS from the Gnostics

I turned you accusation against me back on you, because it was you who were not taking all scripture into account. Now you continue to speak against what you yourself are guilty of.

What did "we" do to you?
  18. ScottA

The one who is still to come

What did you think this was? I just--being transparent--explained one of the great mysteries of God...a fulfillment of promise and prophecy.

The one who is still to come

God has given us an image in creation, called it an image, then came Himself as an image, and said He was an image of God, saying they were the same. That is the issue here. But if you stop looking at it, it doesn't change anything.

The one who is still to come

Good, that's a start. However, we have been discussing matters regarding both heaven and earth, where exists a divide. Which, whatever ism position you prescribe to, doesn't mean you can deny the hand of God is actually God...that is without denying God. But it goes so much deeper than that--
