Nope! The subject of the thread is a lie - not having to earn what is free. Proverbs 26:15 Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth. OSAS want credit for having genuine faith without acting per God’s will.

Strawman. You change subject from work to do with being saved. Read this verse carefully. Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith Do you see ‘through faith’ in the mechanism of being saved? Faith = Belief + Action (aka work, not ‘works’). Not lip service. Not too many...

Yes. Not merely suggesting it, stating it as basic reading comprehension. Words don’t change meaning based on who says it. Where do you get this idea?

Same points apply. Many say, "I am." Does that make them God?

Woe to you to confuse light for darkness, good for evil, maturity for immaturity.

WWIII is inevitable AND already in progress. See the horrors of globalism. 3rd world living standard and morality in 1st world nations.

What are you talking about? As opposed to what; the horrors of globalism?

Your opinion. America has been an imperial power damn near 2 centuries. Ask the native savages. Why in the world should I feel shame for being part of the greatest culture and nation that ever was? We’re better, measurably better in almost every way! Greatest # of inventions. Greatest...

The priviliege of might.

Yes, you would if you were wise; AKA responsibility. The responsibility to be prudent.

Wrong. He finished HIS work. We still have our work to do.

Two things can be true at the same time. You're my friend. It's time for me to leave the party. On a personal note, it is painfully obvious that too many Christians are overly spiritualized, as innocent (and naïve as doves but NOT as wise as serpents). Politics is a big boy sport, full contact...

Ever hear of Ground News? Some analyze the minutes of coverage FOR and AGAINST the narrative. They can claim they showed the evidence but then spend hours "interviewing" Leftists who repeat the apoplectic narrative this ICE killed an innocent mother, their NAZI's, Trump is a threat to our...

Good riddance. NATO should have been dissolved 4 decades ago with the collapse of the evil empire.

Pearl, this is one of the most striking verses to the contrary. Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left I suppose OSAS crowd want to parse "being saved" from "received knowledge of the truth." Semantic...

Very well said! They are still on milk, not mature enough for solid food. Yes, there is refuge in the Lord. But there is also work to be done. The purpose of being God's children is not to get to the goal line to rest forever more. To whom much is given, much is expected. The way I put is this...

This is just another one of your OSAS threads, which I plan to say only this. In today's devotional reading in Matthew, the pig herders begged Jesus to leave BECAUSE there is a cost to having Jesus in your life. Jesus talked about counting the costs. So, you shouldn't talk about it being free...

@Beebster, I've enjoyed reading many of your posts. The one below suggests you are a binitarian. How do you reconcile your claim with Isaiah 45:5 and the changing (still being created) Jesus with the many verses that reveal God's immutable nature, e.g., Malachi 3:6, Isaiah 40:28 and 1 Timothy...

Projecting. Odd how both of you abandon the field of science, of studying God's word by invoking Ad Hominem's. @GodsGrace directed at me. @marks directed at himself. A martyr complex? @marks, I don't think you are making it up beyond extreme eisegesis. That you are wrong is seen in what you...

Ironic that you laugh at contradicting God, deflecting away from Ex 3:15 and denying the Gospel of John is about the ministry of Jesus.
