    The unforgiveable sin ?

The prodestant reformation began by rejecting the authority of the Catholic Church to interpret scripture. They took an opposing view which rejects any source of revelation and interpretation other than the Bible, Sola scriptura. It changed since then, but my point is division came first at...

Why I reject Karma and Reincarnation as a Born Again Christian?

Seems strange when someone supports the Catholic Church but doesn't adhere to their teachings.

    Image and Likeness !?

I don't see either interpretation as incorrect. We were and we are created in God's image. Not as copies, or little gods, but in stylization. I believe we are still created in God's image because I don't believe humans share in God's divinity. But if you believe that humans were intended to...

    Image and Likeness !?

No, Jesus was not created, but humans are created and in God's likeness. There is the superficial likeness of a physical form, and there is the nature of his being which our own parallels. There are also some qualities humans share with God, like love and emotions. I dare not elaborate...

Jesus was no exception even though he was conceived by the Holy Spirit?

How would you explain Jesus giving his mother to one of his deciples to care for if she had other sons?

    Christians ?

There must not be consensus on this doctrine among the protestant denominations. I believe Jesus became sin for us on the cross, and not before.

    Christians ?

It doesn't answer the question of why that baptism was necessary to fulfill all righteousness. It couldn't be the washing away of sin, because he never sinned. So what was Jesus lacking when he went into the water?

    How were you saved?

Three years ago it would have been 21 years:) Yep, I was taught values but little in the way of theology. I think I was fortunate in that respect.

    How were you saved?

Twenty four years ago the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sins during a particular sermon where the reverend preached Christ crucified for our sins. Before then I was inattentive to the sermons because of my age, preferring to make paper airplanes out of the bulletin. But that one was different...

    Christians ?

Is that what Protestants think? I think it is a different baptism because we are baptized into his death. I read somewhere that Jesus' water baptism was a necessary ritual for his preasthood to be legitimate.

    Image of the beast

Seems like a dumb idea to me. I hope someone doesn't steal their RFID codes forcing people to dig out the old ones to replace them. Or suppose they have an emergency and need an MRI? I doubt it is the mark on the hands or forehead warned about in Revelations, but I wouldn't risk it.

    Bible interpretation.....then and now ?

This verse seems more to the point IMO. Romans 10:9 If someone believes Jesus is Lord, how deep is that belief? Will their life reflect that knowledge? I believe it should and it is part of sanctification when the ties to the world are broken, and replaced with increasing faith in the Lord.

    Bible interpretation.....then and now ?

I believe the rich man's wealth was an idol to him. His possessions were more important to him than God. But also notice the wealthy man was a ruler, and to follow Jesus he would likely be forced to forfit his position. So his reluctance was two fold; fear of losing wealth and power.

Hi, My Name Is Ed J

Warnings shouldn't prevent someone from posting. There were people still able to post with 4 warnings. Only you and the mods/admins can see the warnings. We generally disregard them when they are old. I don't see an option to remove warnings, maybe the administration has more control? I...

Why is Christianity so focused on Sin?

This is a belief held by many cults. No amount of equivocation can make it true, because Jesus is God.

    How to stop worrying?

The difference between the wealth in these I assume is one wealth is attributed to God's blessings, while the other doesn't specify but it most likely is from greed IMO. Look what happens to many people that win the lottery, they end up broke or die from a drug overdose. Most people can't...

    How to stop worrying?

I doubt Ecclesiastes 5:19 is speaking of extravagant wealth, but a modest amount we take for granted. Food on the table, a roof over our heads and a few amenities to enjoy. Consider Proverbs 6:10-11 and how these blessings can quickly be taken away. No, anxieties are not necessary.
