WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

@Doug page 2 of 2 English Revised Version For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me. GOD'S WORD® Translation If I spread the Good News willingly, I'll have a reward. But if I spread the Good News unwillingly, I'm...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

The word DISPENSATION is found only in a couple of versions. All other versions use the word STEWARDSHIP,,or being entrusted with the gospel. Note the context...it's speaking about the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14-18 14 So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

It sounds right. Which is why it takes a long time to learn about a biblical concept. If it were this simple,,,all Christians would agree on this and they do not. I do believe that revelation is gradual and as needed. And, certainly, the Mosaic Covenant is different than the New Covenant,, but...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

I DO believe that Jesus meant for there to be a spiritual Kingdom here and now. His teachings were meant to create a better life for manking in general -IF His teachings were followed. I'd say this is commonly found in all religions/gods. But NOW,,,not only at the resurrection. When the New...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

Yes, of course. The NT speaks of two Kingdoms.. one is the Kingdom of heaven and the other is the Kingdom of God. Sometimes these are used interchangeably but usually the Kingdom of heaven refers to heaven and the Kingdom of God refers to the Kingdom that Jesus meant to set up right here on...

    A stick in the mud

Agreed. Salvation is not only salvation from hell, but also salvation from the consequences of sin right now. It's good to hear this from someone - not too many ever state this. Jesus said we will know the truth and it will make us free. Same idea. Free from what? (the wiles of satan - the...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

Right. Don't know too much about it except that they go by different periods of time. It would have been nice to learn more about it, but I can't seem to do this with Doug. No problem...no need to know about doctrine that is not even found in the bible. Why do you think it's evil?

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

I don't understand his doctrine and he really can't explain it to me. Apparently some teaching I'm not familiar with. The commentaries....when they ALL AGREE,,,we should stop and study up on what the NT is saying and not what we THINK it's saying.

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

But I believe I have. Apparently your understanding of the Kingdom is different from mine and that of most christians, I dare to say.

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

PS I DO want to say that if YOU asked ME to explain any belief of mine in 25 words or less, I'd be able to do it because I clearly understand what I believe. You wouldn't have to read an entire thread with over 500 posts to understand it. But, again, yes it's probably me. Doesn't sound like...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

No can do. And I feel like you can't seem to make a point after many posts. I even asked if you're a black hebrew Israelite with no reply from you. So, since I cannot understand your point (my problem I'm sure) I'll be withdrawing from this thread. Catch you next time.

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

If it is FOR US how could it not be TO US? If I buy a car FOR YOU it is for you TO USE. It cannot be FOR YOU but not TO YOU.

    Then Jesus is not God.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

I'm not one of those false teachers Big Boy. I'm not THAT old. There WERE teachers after the Apostles. How do you think Christianity was disseminated? Could you please explain what the counsel of the Lord is? And yes, many wolves did enter into the church.... The CC was there at the time...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

Ah. I see. OK This is because Paul, a master theologian, put together most of Christian theology. So are you saying we became members after Paul? This would have been about 2 to 3 years after the ascension. Do you believe that Jesus did NOT want to save the rest of mankind? Does this...

WHAT IS MEANT IN HEBREWS SAYING THERE IS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS?

Read some commentaries Doug. Sometimes they come in handy. (5) Go not into the way of the Gentiles.—The emphatic limitation seems at first sight at variance with the language which had spoken of those who should come from east and west to sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Why is it that Protestants refuse to learn any church history? Did the Apostles speak to anyone to teach them what Jesus taught or did they just die away having no relationship with anyone? Jesus told them to teach all nations...this is what they did. Ignatius of antioch was taught by both...
