    A look at the FACTS

The only point I was making in regard to Jesus' baptism was that it was necessary for Jesus to follow through to be considered fully righteous. You should know he was righteous before his baptism too. Let's not delve deeper into why here unless it contributes to the topic at hand. This entire...

    A look at the FACTS

Jesus is always right. He, though already righteous, was required to follow through with this baptism. All other questions of why he did this aside, he was required to do this for some reason. Abraham was required by God to go through the motions of sacrificing his son Isaac, though he was...

I'm not a moderator on this subforum. I suggest making a report asking for it to be closed.

Does Christ's command to love one another count on the internet?

I fully expected this response from Barrd, and my opinion stands. I don't expect that spelling it out further would be beneficial so I will refrain.

    Natural Theology?

I agree with remembering natural philosophy. It can be used to build faith. However, natural philosophy is insufficient to understand God entirely, because other religions give their own explanations for natural phenomenon.

Does Christ's command to love one another count on the internet?

With discernment one can make judgments with limited information. Then they can respond to the situation in a manner reflecting this knowledge. The 'bully' may know something you don't. There is a time when it is necessary to harshly rebuke someone, and a time to be nice. A time to lead...

Does Christ's command to love one another count on the internet?

There is no rule about being nice. That is on the contience of the poster. There is a situation when it helps not to be nice.

I think Stan was trying to avoid a pointless confrontation in the most expedient way possible.

Of course God sees what we write. Those warnings about the tongue can apply to any form of communication.

    The Presence of God

How do you know that lord of yours is God?

    The Presence of God

Yes, we would need to know exactly what you mean by separation. The Holy Spirit doesn't leave a believer when they sin and return when they repent. The Spirit remains, but you can become estranged to him. Sort of like a married couple with a bad relationship, but they don't want a divorce.

Clarification of cessation of all personal contact rule

This is concerning the rule: If a member requests the cessation of all personal contact, then please respect that member's wish. In other words, "Stop sending me messages." means just that. It could include, but not be limited to, PMs, new threads, emails, texts, etc. Obviously we cannot and...
