I don't think that the New Covenant started in 70AD, as you said it started during the first advent. My point is that apostate Israel kept the old covenant age going after the first advent with the temple sacrifice so God judged them

I also see it as Jesus ushering in the new covenant at the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70AD And also the transition the earthly Jerusalem to the new Jerusalem the church
