When exactly do you become a Christian?

Gosh golly gee. You must be older than I am ! Come back and report when you find out that the Way just means those that were following Christ.... They used to be Jewish...now they were following The Way. It's exactly the same as being Christian except that the early Christians devised some...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

I didn't use the word RESURRECTED Hillsage... I said the spirit is made alive. The spirit of each man is not active UNTIL a person becomes born from above. What 3 verses? I gave you the first creed in 1 Corinthians 15. You could not believe this if you so wish. As to the word Christian.... OK...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

I agree with you wholeheartedly walter. Jesus' commandments are not burdensome. His load is easy and His burden is light. LOVE GOD LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR LOVE YOURSELF And when it SEEMS that there is some conflict between Jesus and any other NT writer... we look to JESUS for the answer.

When exactly do you become a Christian?

What is The Way? What is the difference between The Way and Christianity?

When exactly do you become a Christian?

² LOL Actually, said like that, I agree. Because we are saved first and our spirit becomes alive..... OR we gain the spirit quality of our being .... I can live with either understanding. THEN our spirit begins to have an effect on our soul, which is what you stated, mind, will and emotion...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

No comment. Why are you on this Forum? Just go to your church and be happy with the fellowship you receive there. And you're in the apologetics sub-forum. Usually it's to discuss apologetics and related topics.

    The Elephant in the Room

You have a terrible bottom line Always. I have some questions for you.... If my having free speech and my saying publicly what I believe, can lead to my death... HOW is that free speech? Do you understand that free speech means that I am free to state my opinion without repercussions? And...

The distain for romance, family, and the demonization of sexualality and women in Christianity

I agree. I have to start going back.... It's Mass. It's good, but maybe I just miss the fellowship, but it was so many years ago - but I still remember how it was.

    Free Will

Yes sir. You sure do ASSUME a lot. It's soooo much easier to just REPLY to a post instead of going off on a wild tangent. You have my permission to believe that Jesus did NOT want everyone to understand His parables. But, then, maybe we don't understand ANYTHING He said !! Maybe it was just...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Oh my. Did my reply no. 53 state that I had some food to eat yesterday? No. Does that mean I had no food yesterday? Come on quietthinker. Address the post if you want to,,,, but why change the subject? You don't have to reply if you don't care to.

When exactly do you become a Christian?

I DID hear the question behind the question. The OP brings up a few points. But is the OP a reformed believer? Reformed believers can never be certain that they are one of the chosen.

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Of course there are teachings in the OT that pertain even till this day. Those of the OT wrote down what they wanted to teach and what they wanted to remember... both historically and also teachings pertaining to God. Correct. But do we do this anymore? Many write their own ideas into...

The distain for romance, family, and the demonization of sexualality and women in Christianity

I think they improved TOO MUCH ! Like I said before,,,we went from one extreme to the other. It's bad both/either way. We're leaving this world to the next generation... they'll have to figure it out.

The distain for romance, family, and the demonization of sexualality and women in Christianity

Ok This is what I thought - thus my prior question to you from the first page. Ooops. I fall into this category. I know WHY I should attend Mass (I live here) but I don't understand it at times and have basically stopped going. I've heard preaching on the second part of the above paragraph...

The distain for romance, family, and the demonization of sexualality and women in Christianity

But scripture states that Adam caused the fall. OK, continuing. Good ole' St. Augustine.... he had to invent the absence of free will to make for all the sinning he committed which gave him a guilty conscience he could not bear. There you go. Mean devils !! This is getting weird GH! Yeah...

The distain for romance, family, and the demonization of sexualality and women in Christianity

Just going to post some comments.... Most on these forums refuse to study any church history and it makes conversation a little difficult. Just to be clear....I know very little. Your opening statement is very important because it shows how theology can evolve without abandoning core beliefs...
