Denying the Cross: How to do it

Is love/ tenderness an equation? something one argues about? Those that do argue haven't understood the language (paid, ransom, gift, free, propitiation, sacrifice etc) used. They think in terms of an necessary activated exchange. Have you considered that God's generosity, his tenderness, his...

    Was Jesus crucified?

None of us know as we ought to know. Knowing this births humility, not a boasting of ones cognitive abilities.

    Was Jesus crucified?

I would say, the ability to get over one's own unacknowledged limitations generates an atmosphere of mutual discovery. Outing others has always been the primary domain of those considering themselves informed.

there you go marks, another participant who considers their view 'irrefutable'

    Who Really Are The 144,000?

are these meant to be 155mm shells or guided missiles?

    Was Jesus crucified?

ahhhhh, 'irrefutable', such a subjective word. Irrefutable in one's own mind as it is in the minds of all who are convinced of a matter. 'Irrefutable' objectively, is the work of the spirit not the logic man employs. Every self appointed guru plays with the notion of their 'processes' being...

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

hmmmm.....it's getting rough, particularly when the participants float the rules! If God's laws are supposedly done away with, how is it men are such sticklers for their own?

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

John 1:5 Amplified Bible (AMP) The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

It reads as it reads for the purpose of conveying the insight John had of who Jesus is.

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

You couple it with John 1:1-5 ' In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind...

    The Time is Fulfilled

Doesn't the context tell you? The solution assumed prior to Jesus was violence....eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Is God's kingdom of that nature? Not sure? I think Jesus is the embodiment of God's kingdom. The way he solves problems tells us. We need to pay closer attention.

    It's Getting Real Folks

thinking many things does not qualify them as accurate my dear.....it just means you're still alive. o_O

    One thing to ready yourself

Could it be that much time is spent pointing out the ills of others and no time is spent sharing the wonder of God? Could it be 'believing' folk prefer theological debate because they are bereft of knowing therefore don't have much wonder for God? Could it be that Laodicea is identified by these...

    It's Getting Real Folks

Subjective reality, in this case yours, doesn't allow it. Why? because misunderstanding the objective has cancelled it out. You are so sure of how you see, you have placed yourself in a double blind.

Who Knows the God of Jesus?

I'd say it's because he said things contrary to what we think is possible....things like (John 10:18) 'No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again'.

    Longsuffering....

I wonder, by what or who's measure is long-suffering determined?

    It's Getting Real Folks

That's a big ask, one I'll decline. A greater authority has my ear
