How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

    Not my words, but Jesus.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes they did, and so will the church in the end. Jesus as a prophet of Israel was prophesying and warning Israel of events shortly to come, but also speaking prophetically He was speaking at the same time things to warn the church at the end of this age. Voice of many waters...speaking more...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Heaven is not a physical realm, but it's where God dwells, in the spiritual realm. Both within and without the child of God. In Him we live and move and have our being. (There is no time/space limitation with God.)

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Jesus is talking to the Jew first, then the Gentile. So we also need to take those warnings seriously.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Actually I believe it is more than just position, but it is our spirit/inner man that is seated in heavenly places. It's a bit of a mystery, if we can receive it, but remember Jesus mentioning that our "angels" (ie, our spirit man), do always behold the face of our Father in heaven. We were...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Johan is not the one I've seen wresting scriptures around here.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Yes indeed. Speaking of new age, we need to also realize that there unfortunately is a new age version of Christianity out there that is leading to people saying they are Christ. Let me show this in scripture in case any here are believing in that, or are on the path to believing it. If it...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Agree that in this instance Jesus was referring to the unbelieving Jews, and He referred to them as the world because they were unbelieving. But just a heads-up here, that we need to be careful with words in scripture because the same word can be referring to different things. Eg, the word...

    What is Revival?

Really, you are so off the wall sometimes. I actually had typed out a reply then thought it might come across as being too gossipy and rambling...my mind gets tired, and I'm learning that when I'm tired I had better wait on the Lord, to double check what is appropriate to say or how to word...

    What is Revival?

Indeed, but my point is that scholarship and God aren't necessarily mutually exclusive!

    What is Revival?

From my observation, a lot of it the benefit of hindsight which they say is 20/20, in a nutshell uncrucified flesh and immaturity got in the way. I'm going to ask and wait on the Lord to see what details I should get into or not. I don't know about prophets per se, but certainly the more...

    What is Revival?

Amen. I have no problem with studying things out, I often look up the Greek or Hebrew words and definitions and check biblical usage of words to try and get a sense of what is being conveyed. I only meant that sometimes my brain isn't always up to certain tasks, especially...

    What is Revival?

Amen. Comparing scripture with scripture...the whole counsel of God. There is no contradiction, and that is how we know Paul never wrote any lie in any of his letters too...because everything he wrote agrees with all the other scriptures.

    What is Revival?

I believe studying the grammar and original languages can be helpful in the Holy Ghost, as long as that is who/what we're placing our reliance on. Different people have different gifts though.

    What is Revival?

I share as I'm led to share and as God gives me the strength. We have to realize though that all power in the universe is God's power. The devil has no power on his own. That is why discernment is needed, it's so easy to counterfeit God because it is his own power being used to counterfeit...

    What is Revival?

What does any of this have to do with what is being discussed? Just more sand in our faces in order to try and confuse and deflect and distract. GOD is not the author of confusion.......but I wasn't born yesterday and know who is. I am not allergic to revivals, on the contrary. I was in one...

    What is Revival?

Have to tell you that it doesn't even feel as though I'm talking to a Christian with you. Unedifying and confusing. And God is not the author of such things. But I do not condemn you Epi, I am only sad for you. And that is how I feel about the lost.

    What is Revival?

Amen, and Jesus said this as well: Jhn 3:17-19 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the...

    What is Revival?

I'm not able to follow the grammar very well at the moment, but have to go to other scriptures that also speak on this subject. 2 Peter 1:4....we are partakers/sharers of the divine nature Heb 12:10...we are partakers of his holiness Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God...unto all and...

    What is Revival?

I know I wasn't asked the question, but my answer would be Yes! In the inner man, because our inner man has been renewed/recreated after the image of Christ and that is how we received the gift of God's righteousness. Like where Paul said I delight in the Law of God after the inward man..
