What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Only if you were a Pharisee. Are you a Pharisee?

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

I don't agree with the emphasis you are placing on this verse because again, Jesus was talking to the Pharisees but what I understand is that you are saying is "All men must take what he said to the Pharisees, to heart" and It's not true.

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Bro...I have spent 2 decades in the deliverance ministry [casting out demons] and they are not afraid of me but they are terrified of the Holy Spirit dwelling in me. The Spirit that once hovered over the surface of the waters in the beginning....

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Try to preach this to a mature Christian and they may understand you but possibly disagree because they know their word. Try to preach it to a new believer and they wouldn't know what you are talking about bro....o_O

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Amen brother! I also believe that Jesus is God and I believe in the three are one - Godhead. However, to state that unless we believe in the deity of Christ, we will not be saved is ridiculous

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Please put this in context. Again, he is talking to the Pharisees and Jews. Why? because they did not believe that he was the Messiah. The coming one. That is what they [the Jews] have been waiting for and they did not recognise him.

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

Addressing the original post also based on the above verses. He is talking to the Pharisees and Jews because they do not believe that he is the Messiah. Thus has nothing to do with the requirements for salvation.

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

John 8 23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” Who do you think "he" is?

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

As far as I can see. You are taking particular verses out of context and then you are adding them to the salvation message as if it was a requirement based on situations that occurred between Jesus and the Pharisees.

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

and?.....where does it say in the bible the believers must first understand that Jesus is God to be saved?????Where is that added context????

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

He was talking to the Pharisees, not to gentile believers. The Pharisees did not believe him and that is why he said what he did... My salvation does not depend on your truth or your adding to the salvation message. My salvation depends on the blood of Jesus freely shed for me and others who...

What do you think this text says about the deity of Christ?

The above points are not essential for salvation. These are the only requirements for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13.
