Interesting. Of course we have a contingent of Catholics who lay claim to their church's assertions that Rome was the center of Christianity and responsible for giving us the Bible. In order to bolster that claim we see a jump to Luther and Calvin and Zwingli and given the opportunity, others...

Not the point I was making but okay.

He says it well, but what does he mean by what he says? What of those who come to Christ at the last hour, those who haven't had time to develop character and overcome every habit and addiction? Many who have been Christians for 40,50 years, still struggle to overcome traits of character...

I think if you really wanted to acknowledge harmony in scripture, you will find that references to people in heaven praising God are resurrected saints. Not disembodied spirits/souls. KJV Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither...

I think there's both. We will never attain to the perfect holiness of deity, so we will always need that imputed righteousness through being justified by faith in the blood of Christ. But as we are, unless we are made into new creatures, by the impartation of Christ's righteousness into our...

The question I don't see you addressing, is the question related to character. Does the righteousness we receive actually forensically change who we are and how we behave? Does it affect character?

Imparted righteousness is a gift. It is the righteousness of Christ. As we receive Christ, we receive His righteousness.

I'm going to keep this as simple as I can. Justification was made for all men by the death of Jesus, the Son of God. It comes to individuals and is made effective personally, by faith. First, there is the fact established, second is the individual's belief in and trust in that fact. Why did...

Interesting, thanks for a different perspective.

God is good. Always. To everyone. I still laugh when I remember arriving here from NZ (where there are no snakes and in all my 60+years never saw a local widow spider) 7 years ago, when being driven from the airport to my daughter's home an hour away, focused intently on the side of the road...

All of which begs the question, why is it that in those nations that are advanced scientifically, having the advantage of invention and technology, such as Australia, New Zealand, the US, and Europe, are turning away from Christianity. While in those nations that are poor, generally uneducated...

As I contemplate my life, there are 2 things that at the moment are seemingly more in focus than anything else. First and foremost, is how far the Lord has brought me, and the unbelievably wonderful blessings He has given me since meeting Him in 1976. A marriage that despite our complete seeming...

Absent from the body. That is, from life in the present world. Present with the Lord. From a superficial reading of vs. 6-8 some have concluded that at death the soul of the Christian goes immediately to be “present with the Lord,” and that Paul, ardently desiring to be with the Lord (v. 2)...

Interesting isn't it, that Jesus said to judge others by their fruits, but the Adventists are judged by their doctrines, by people who neither understand them nor can be bothered to study them. What's more, the Adventist church is full of people who actually did set out to study their doctrines...

I must admit to having issues with this, when one considered that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our redemption. If Jesus paid for our ransom from "the system", then we belong to Him right? Then we can trust Him to deal with the wrongful claims over our lives by usurpers and charlatans. But...

To be honest, it started off as car, but Mrs Google had other plans, and I thought, that'll do.

All that I can agree with.

If you get something of value for that "fake money", like a cat, or house, or food, then you better take the money back and replace it with something of value don't you think, seeing you are receiving something of value.

You may be correct, or not. Regardless, give back to the owner what he requires. Anything else is theft.

You forgot the Catholic version of very gospel itself.
