    Expose on Mormonism.

You were not posting about Mormon beliefs, you were challenging Brakelite about Jesus and Michael.... that is when I mentioned boxes. In nearly every church I attended ...not every single person has to believe just the same thing or way as the person sitting next to them. He may be a SDA...

Before he went he told me about moving his mum...then said I may not hear from him for a week...that week ended on Friday. :( I wrote to on Friday evening, but I have had no response. Still hoping !! How come you...

    The Upward Path

Romans 8 39 ... height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 10.10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

@Dave L Why don't you just stop now, before you make a worse fool of yourself. Your worship of the bible is verging on idolatry ... if bibles ever get band, which they will at some point.....If you believe what you post...that God will only speak through the bible... you will be without...

How do you hear the "still, small, voice"?

And you are still wearing blinkers and have tunnel vision Dave. I am sorry for you, if this is all that you have. So you are stuck one day on an island after a shipwreck.... but your bible is lost at sea. Sad, you are now stuck without being able to hear from the Lord. What a load of it...

    The Christian renunciation of power

I can't quite work out how this scripture is connected with what I posted? Enlighten me.

    The Christian renunciation of power

Aah! Then I did not understand from your previous post on the other thread, when you spoke of power. It sounded like you were talking about all power for the Christian. Not just the guns. :) I just 'do my bit' as I pray for our government ...I don't think I am doing it single handed ( I...

    The Christian renunciation of power

I see you have started a thread on this. I guess so the other one doesn't get hijacked. :) I guess we are thinking of this subject from different perspectives. I see God Church as knowing what power we have, not relinquishing it. I believe the Church is in a mess because most do not...

    Expose on Mormonism.

@CoreIssue Why does everyone have to be put into neat little boxes, and labeled , this, that, or the other. @brakelite doesn't have to fit in anyones neat little box just for the convenience of an argument.

No need of Calvin, OSAS, Arminius, Spurgeon, Luther, and Boice

In this post #5 sounds like sanctification a person can 'get' and keep.:D I remember hearing it said that when someone lost his or her temper..they'd say, poor thing, he/she has lost her sanctification. lol A bit like someone a person can go to the village store and buy. The vessels of the...

Guns, Guns, Killing, and more Guns

How do you hear the "still, small, voice"?

A number of years back a friend of our was out on his bike. He 'felt' the Lord nudge him and say.." Go and buy a pint of milk and take it to the green house at the very end of the street on the right." It sounded crazy, but because he cherished the voice of the Lord , he did it anyway. He felt...

How do you hear the "still, small, voice"?

Nail on the head here Rita. Excellent and clear post. But as you said, wasted on those who choose to believe that 'everything' has ceased. ...xx

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

Haha!! We are in the same 'boat'...visions , dreams, and on Christmas Eve 1975 I heard the audible voice of the Lord, ...I'm totally nuts for sure. :)

    Limited Atonement VS Universal Atonement

Hmmm :) Are you sure about that? Ps 24 says :- "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. "

    What is a Demon?

@VictoryinJesus I'm not sure what you are saying here #34 But whenever it say 'they fell down before Him'...it means the person that the demon inhabited fell down in front of Him, because the demons know who He is, and fear Him. They obviously 'cry out' through the mouth of the host person...

Please pray for wisdom for crucial decisions I need to make

Do you have time limit on your decisions? I think you are getting frustrated, and, in my experience, the more we 'try' to hear, the less peace we have...and we can only hear God when we are calm and have trust and peace that He will not lead us wrong. God bless you...and may the right doors...

Did people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues? Or did they speak in tongues ....?

I think that is a bit of a wide sweeping statement Dave. I've been in many Charismatic church groups, and am still of that persuasion...not one that I knew taught or believed in the so called Rapture!!

    Eternal Security

Well it seems to me..that when we go back for a few hundred years or so, 'we' are in good company! :) If you choose to only see a harsh, hard God...then that is your choice, I cannot read scripture and find 'your' God in there! I liked what Stranger said the other day...( something like)...
