Agree. When we are new Christians God does not dump the whole revelation of His word into our laps. Like a good parent he feed us according to the amount of revelation that we can digest and understand. Much that I have received now..."back then" I would probably have run a mile...

@VictoryinJesus Thank you for sharing your heart. You , like @Truth have 'traveled' a million miles... both of your younger you's sounded 'old' already and too much for an 8 year old... At 8 I was 'dark' withdrawn and quite shut down...I was fearful and because of things I was afraid...

Yes, obviously ...but I have never heard of it ever working for anyone...not really. And I am sceptical of paying out money for a risk. I was never a gambler at heart. :)

Well for me...some bad things had already happened to me by age 8 ...so I may have advised her that life is not all happy and rosy and bad things do happen..but to not allow this to make your heart hard and cynical.... I'll see what others write now...
