Sadly, your necessary development of the trinity formula also included the slaughter of millions of Christians in the Gothic, Heruli, Vandal, and Visigoth nations who were, at least according to their enemies, Arian. It is doubtful that those conciliar declarations would have survived had it...

Lol, yes. It's called draining the swamp. Now where have I heard that before???

Duchesne who was quoted... Was a Catholic priest and historian... The quote came from one of his books Early History of the Christian Church, 3 vols., John Murray, London, 1923. Alfred Newman cited above was a Baptist historian who helped found the southwestern Texas theological seminary...

An interesting text when contextualized with the church of Rome. The church of Thyatira is a type of the medieval church of the dark ages, having within it the spirit of Jezebel who led Israel in to sun worship...Baal... KJV 2 Kings 9:22 22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said...

That's a very good question. What kind of character has a sinner developed during his probation on earth? Has he developed a love for righteousness, or a love for selfishness? Has he developed a love for the company of those who love Jesus, or a love for the company of those who hate Jesus...

Amen. Indeed we do. It will be 45 years for my wife and I next year, which duration I can only describe as miraculous.

Hell is only for those that God knows would hate heaven.

Scripture was said to be the model and basis for faith, but the Catholic Church in the 'magisterium' was reserved the sole authority to interpret and teach that scripture. Their word in other words was the final authority, not scripture at all. In requiring it's members to obey the magisterium...

That is wonderful John. All the very best and congratulations. Have a great day with the family.

I can agree with the gospel part, depending on what version... Serious doubts about the 'notes'.

Slow down bro, and get to know me a little before presuming I am dissing the Godhead. My post to H2S was in reference to her declaration that she quote: in reference to what was being discussed in your own words, "the triune Godhead". I suggest no-one can explain the Orthodox trinity formulaic...

God has a remnant. It still isn't good for man to be alone. God designed families, church fellowship is just as essential to the wellbeing of man as it's a stable blood family. But I hear you. I also spen't time drifting from church to church disillusioned, discontented, disappointed. And I also...

Have a good day my friend. I certainly did, a wonderful blessing which I shall carry into next week. God is good.

Why is it that I get the impression that when you say things like...quote: “Many” will assume that they have it all right at the judgment, and quote: The "truth" "found no place in the hearts" of those who will "perish", and quote: Because it seems like a lie to them, and the lie has been...

With all respect H2S, you would be the first in Christian history to do so.

You've already ignored it.

What scripture? You didn't quote any.

Don't be so arrogant and smug. I said I would research it... Pope Sixtus V erected that Egyptian phallic obelisk. I believe it was Pope Alexander 12th who sponsored the dressing and building of the occult solar wheel in St Peters square. It was Constantine who introduced Sunday, but a succession...

Facts? The protestant church were broken away because the Catholic leadership refused to hear them. Luther had valid concerns regarding the greed and corrupt practise of demanding money for the salvation of souls... Indulgences. Money that paid for the basilica in Rome. So Luther didn't break...

Right there is your problem. It was the Catholic Church which deviated from scripture, thus forming a new denomination called the Papacy.
