The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by...

Unless you are a fisherman, or tax collector, or tent maker... KJV 1 Corinthians 1:20-29 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God...

It is fascinating when you consider the concept of tolerance and read the letter to the churches of Pergamum and Thyatira. KJV Revelation 2:14-16 14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock...

It was the spirit of jezebel, the witch that married Ahab, whose prophets Elijah slew, that is the spirit of Antichrist, that places the kings of the earth in the stead of the true Husband, Christ. The daughter of Jezebel murdered the royal family. It was the same Spirit that compelled Herodias...

Just remember @theefaith , those American churches you seen so intent on deriding are the daughters of your own mother. Think about that awhile.

Understood. Think about that temptation. Not the bread one... The worship me one. Satan would have appeared to Jesus as an angel of light... Worship me because all this is mine and I'll give it you? Satan was pretending to be the Son... Casting doubt on Jesus convictions and His faith in the...

I think Barbara might be getting a little old now... Even for you. ;)

The observance of Sunday a case in point.

For visitors and like me, recent immigrants to Australia, this will help your identification of the several major bird species as you travel around....

Lol

I can totally agree with you that far far too many are way to eager to accuse others of heresy. The letter in Revelation to the church at Pergamum is a lesson in that very thing. KJV Revelation 2:12-16 12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the...

You know Jay, I couldn't care less if I were to be labeled a heretic by the church... Any church. But I believe absolutely that truth matters. So I'm not going to be so arrogant to suppose that I couldn't possibly be wrong in the above assessment. That's what my current thinking is. If you have...

It is not up to the church to decide what the scriptures teach. It is up to the church to obey what the scriptures teach.

The position that it is of no consequence what men believe is one of Satan's most successful deceptions. He knows that the truth, received in the love of it, sanctifies the soul of the receiver; therefore he is constantly seeking to substitute false theories, fables, another gospel. From the...

Okay, so the above answered B. You were asking about A. But is not eternal life included in 'anything" above? KJV John 11:25-26 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth...

@bbyrd009 KJV Luke 11:5-12 5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 And he from within shall answer...

Here's how I see the gospel. Jesus said “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Jesus told Nicodemus that God “gave” His Son. This is the everlasting gospel. If God did not...

Yeah, I got that. And just to be clear, I am a trinitarian... But not in the way the creeds demand.

The fact that Jesus Himself promised A. eternal life...aka conditional immortality... And B. That He and the Father would be more delighted to answer prayers than a loving earthly father. Both fairly good reasons to expect both don't you think... That's the meaning of faith after all... Trust...
