    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

God's rest is in holiness. We are to enter into THAT rest through Christ. So we honour the Sabbath of God. We cease from our own works to enter into Christ. We honour that level of walk...which is by grace through the faith OF Jesus Christ.

    Grace First

Grace on one level (universal) doesn't negate grace on another level (for holiness). People do that...not God. This response of yours is to confuse entering into Christ now...with God's mercy later. It is also to confuse what grace is. The bible doesn't say that anyone who is not born again will...

No I'm not a Catholic....but this guy understands the bible and it's message. At least on the minimum standards of God.

Find in the bible where it says that Jesus only died for the church. I cited 3 verses that say that Jesus died for all men...even unbelievers. And there are many more. If you can't see what I wrote in the OP I don't expect you will search the bible though.

    Grace First

Not pleasing...but acceptable to Him. God is not out to get non-religious people...but to save them. Acts 10:35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

    Grace First

Yes...this is the grace given to God's ministers. At that level grace is the power of God to carry out the will of God. Grace is there to strengthen us. The basic universal grace is according to our conscience. But so many of us have gone beyond the child-like conscience and into sin...

    Grace First

But what of Christianity? Well, Christianity is grace upon grace. John 1:16 “And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (actually grace on top of, or in addition to, grace) IOW we are they who seek to cooperate with God...and we who surrender from our own agendas can be...

    Grace First

Now there are huge ramifications to allowing God to be sovereign over His own creation. (As if He needed our approval). It means that we have NO (zero) say in who gets "saved" or not...not even for ourselves. NO...the initiative remains in HIS hands. So then His grace works with ALL...

    Grace First

So many doctrines these days seek to wrest the initiative of salvation away from God and onto themselves. But God is sovereign. He has sent grace into the world...for all men. Our decision is whether we wish to cooperate with God or not. No acceptance of His grace is required. It is already...

    The perpetual paschal mystery

You don't want Enoch to deputize you? ;)

    The perpetual paschal mystery

I don't. The RC church was the first of many institutions I was called out of in my wilderness journey through the denominations. (having returned to the religion of my youth after being baptized in the Spirit.) The Lord called my wife and I out of all instituted religion finally in 1990. Since...

    The perpetual paschal mystery

The sacrifice of Jesus is once for all. It is finished. But the power of that event is perpetual....as we each in turn experience that cross for ourselves...so as to be separated from the sinful part of us that is the power behind the flesh. So we are set free to walk in His resurrection life...

Once Saved Always Saved Garbage Teaching!!

Christianity is about a walk...not a saved status. To BE Christian one needs to DO Christian. Otherwise we are just fooling ourselves. If we endure till the end, we will be saved. Then, it is a question of the quality of that salvation. We are in a race. Run to win! :)

    Spiritual Rebirth

Hello brother The ways of God are truly great. Paul says...notice the goodness AND severity of God. So then the truth is as a double edged sword. There are two sides to it. Look at the hand of God. Look at these 2 statements so as to see that they are both true. John 10:28 28 And I give unto...

    Spiritual Rebirth

@Shanmugam Welcome here! :) I hope you stick around. I think you have understood a great deal about the personal relationship aspect of the faith. Very good grasp of the kingdom's effect on a person. Not so much about God's actual nature though... :) But besides your idea that God is not an...

    Humility is absolutely necessary.

Amen. Jesus came to show us the way. He humbled Himself in a very great way...to put up with us who get things backwards all the time. :) So we are to conform to Christ. If our Master is so humble, who counted equality with God nothing to be held on to...how much more should we be humble? If we...

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

There is the form of godliness...and then there is the power of godliness. The life is in the blood. But the body provides form. So then to obey the Lord, the best we can, is the form. But to do things as Jesus did them...we need His power...His life...His blood. Both are needed of course...

    Wealth comes from God.

    Let's look at the way is is written in Hebrew. Deut. 8:18 The translation into the English... "for it is He who gives you power to get...

    Passed away?

You are showing the dialectical duality of truth here. So on the one hand the old has passed away...but on the other hand nothing has passed away. What has NOT passed away is God's standard...His law...His will. But what HAS changed is the means...the power...that seeks to fulfill that law and...
