When is a christian NOT a Christian?

The difference between the saint and the righteous is whose power is being walked in. A righteous man does what is right with what he has already been given. A righteous person will sin...but he will bring restitution for those sins. He will ask forgiveness and correct the fault done to others...

    Do unto others

Amen. This is the basic righteousness requirement that fulfills the second tablet of commandments...to love your neighbour as yourself. Although this is an OT standard...it is still the right thing to do...and God sees this as doing righteousness. Of course God has "upped the ante" in the NT...

    Interesting....

Word! If Christian was a verb instead of noun....as in...behaving like a Christian instead of labeling yourself as one...there would be a huge attitude shift.

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

This is to confuse physical seeing with the spiritual faculty that comes with the new birth in Christ. You can't SEE the kingdom unless you are born from above. John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees...

    Galatians 5

John tells us that IN Him (Jesus) is no sin. Very few people believe that. People take a theory of the truth and nod their heads...but as soon as reality rears it's head they deny it. Do you believe that when we enter into Him, who knew no sin, that we take on this same perfection that He...

    Assurance in Hebrews 3

We are to have confidence in God...and NOT in some supposed religious formula we may or not wish to believe in. The kind of faith that enters into fellowship with God is not the same as convincing ourselves we are saved. This happens far too much...where the confidence is put in a salvation...

    Heavenly Life-Source

Self-denial is self-effort. Many believers are not honest about the idea of being crucified with Christ. They are TRYING to be crucified a finger at a time...or so they think. But we are crucified in one swift operation of God so that we become dead to sin...and alive to God to walk in His...

    The Gospel Of Grace Defended

Paul preached the same gospel as Jesus did. The gospel of the kingdom which is ACCORDING to grace (power) from God. Until Jesus was glorified that power (grace) wasn't available to us yet. But rest assured it is the same gospel. (Do a study on how many times it says that Paul preached the...

    What would you do different?

Just keep adding the fear of the Lord and humility. Otherwise I would stay the course. :)

Was Esau foreordained to be hated by God?

Rom. 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not...

    What would you do different?

Let us just take a happy pill...and become drunk on "peace and safety"!?? Why be fake? God sees all. Why not humble yourself to escape the judgment of they who make Christianity into a self-serving religion of smugness? Why not turn to wisdom and the fear of the Lord? Perhaps we may yet be...

    What would you do different?

God has ordained that ..let's say ...half or so of all believers will be cut off. Of course people won't accept that...as if we really had a choice to veto God's decisions. We can cry out NO all we want but God will do as He sees fit. There will be weeping and a lot of anger at God's judgments...

    Galatians 5

The deception is to deny that in Christ is no sin. And this is not a small error. A sin against the Spirit...by teaching lies....is far worse than the sins of the flesh.

    Galatians 5

They who are in Adam...yes. But do you believe that Jesus sinned? What about those in Christ? Your doctrine makes Christ of NO effect in the lives of they who enter into Him Why? No experience of entering into Him. If anyone actually does enter into Christ they know what it means to be...

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

In an upside down world everything is contrary. :)

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

In an upside down world...yes. But this thread is about the heart of Jesus Christ...who came to earth to connect us with the Father....not just to make us feel good about ourselves or see ourselves in the best possible light as the false gospel was designed to do, So you are seeing exactly...

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in (to or into) the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on (into or to) me should not abide in darkness...

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

This is about light and darkness. Darkness resists the light but it must move aside for it. It cannot abide with light.

    The word, "Doctrine"

The history of 'Churchianity" in a nutshell. Dead religious dogmatism from belief-systems. The funny thing is that God is not religious at all. And Christianity is a religion-buster...an anti-religion...but only when it is properly understood!
