The Nicean Creed was formulated under the auspices of a pagan emperor who them persecuted and threw out the dissenters. The 'Catholic' church you speak of was in no way universal by the time of the 4th century. It was a name the bishops of Rome held on to to give the impression of originality...

There's so much to discuss and debate and complain about when it comes to politics. But is this the gospel? The gospel should be out only focus. We all agree that time is short, and the things happening in the world confirm that. So we should be talking about Jesus. It's getting far too easy to...

My super-power... Exaggerating everything I think I'm good at, exercising that thing the next day and falling flat on my face. So I ain't sayin' nothin'.

Easily fooled? I don't think so. The rebellion wouldn't have been a one night experience. It may have taken eons, with Lucifer himself perhaps not even knowing in the beginning where his ideas were leading. I see it as a developing political campaign over leadership, with Lucifer developing a...

That's the situation the government is currently engineering. Crop destruction...not crop failure, distribution issues.

My daughter sent me a video from the US with several farmers revealing that they are being paid by the government 1½ times the market value of their crops TO DESTROY THEM. They are paid extra if they recognize their carbon footprint by mowing their crops... Otherwise the government will be using...

Can you imagine Abraham's disappointment when God told him to sacrifice Isaac? His disappointment wouldn't have been only in regards the loss of Isaac, but also in God. "Oh," he likely would have thought. "So that's what you're like. Just like all the rest demanding child sacrifice." We are...

Mark, the scriptures are not faultless in detail, but they are faultless in principle. The Bible isn't word inspired, but thought inspired. The prophets wrote down in their own words, the visions, dreams, thoughts, concepts and ideas revealed to them through inspiration. Hence why all the...

When God destroyed Sodom, what was so offensive to Him that it needed destruction? The people... Or the sin that the people refused to separate from, making the people collateral damage? Hence the reluctance on God's part to judge arbitrarily but was willing for Abraham to bargain, and God's...

This topic, as I said, is under discussion with my friends from church. There are sound arguments on both sides. I'm coming to the conclusion that yes, there are incidents where God found it necessary to destroy, for reasons sometimes we don't understand, but we simply have to trust His...

I used to ski in younger years. I would surf mid winter and could see the mountain from the surf. Surf in morning and ski in afternoon. On some hot days I would ski in shorts and tee shirt. In later yearsi was working on dairy farms, getting up at 4:30am in minus 5c cold, all the water lines...

Lol

In the shade inside.

Adam and Eve hid from God because they were afraid. Did God say at any time that He would kill them? No. He did say they would die that day, yet they didn't. Why not? Because God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He had mercy. The moment they sinned, there was a Mediator who stepped...

Is that truly what God is doing? Destroying sinners? Or is it that now, after thousands of years of deliberately distancing Himself from sinners in order that they live, He now comes and allows His presence to bring about what has always been inevitable... The destruction of sin. That human...

Well done. If only others were so willing to genuinely tackle the hard questions. QT has asked something that certainly challenges our long held perceptions. What I found fascinating is that without any reference to his question, other members of our church are asking similar questions here in...

Disappointing. But having not read his thoughts, you don't know what you are disagreeing with.

Trying to figure out the last act in the drama is of no help when you have the characters in the play all confused.

My work-mate here in Victoria is ex military. I told him about a month ago that I read that Australian police and military are preparing and training for door to door forced vaxxing. He didn't know what to think of that at the time, but came to me today and said he had made some recent...

Ever wondered how close, 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on...
