For over 3 years Jesus spoke to multitudes, healed entire villages, rebuked the religious leaders of His day, and converted very few. Even His brothers didn't believe in Him. But go to the first sermon from Peter and the result was... KJV Acts 2:41 41 Then they that gladly received his word...

There's no-one more eligible to being saved than he who admits he needs salvation. But what you are trying to do is shed your addiction and thus present this "sacrificial offering" as a point in your favor as if to impress God and earn His favor. That isn't how the gospel works. Jesus has...

There were ten plagues that came upon Egypt. Israel was protected from the last 7. There are 7 plagues specifically mentioned in Revelation. The church will be protected from those 7. Right now however, the church is suffering along with everyone else from the pandemic, and the steps governments...

It is the Bible that identifies the Antichrist. It is the Bible that supports certain specific criteria that must be met in order for the identity of the Antichrist to be determined. If this is hatred them it is God Himself who hates the Antichrist. Now though the Pope may represent a system, it...

There are secular atheist people who reject the popular notions regarding gay marriage and homosexuality. That doesn't make them Christian. The criteria the Bible reveals as necessary to identify the Antichrist are of a different nature altogether, and the church's stance on various moral issues...

Your casual off hand dismissal of the most powerful stimulus for the last 400 years of reformation... That the Papacy is the Antichrist... Belies the immense efforts over that period of the Jesuits and others like them to destroy that idea among Protestants. Of you want that idea to go away you...

The only way the prophecies could be fulfilled and all the criteria be met, is through a succession of antichrists. Single successive rulers over the one power straddling over more than a 1000 years.

The thing is this. The prophecies regarding the little horn of Daniel 7, and the first beast of Revelation 13, and the man of sin in Thessalonians, are all about the same entity. And the characteristics of that entity that are detailed in the prophecies, amount to at least 10 specific detailed...

He said it wasn't his own. He quoted and gave reference to the original. Are you bright enough to refute it?

Historically, I would suggest that what the Papacy did was mean.

No. That would defeat the purpose of giving Eve the choice. No Not enough information in the question. Eternal torment, yes, too far because I'm that case justice would never be met. Death, destruction, that would be just. Hardly. No. Seriously? Yes.

I see it that what Satan, aka Lucifer, began in heaven was an idea. It was a political/ideological concept which deceived a third of heavens population, even those who should have known better. But such was this idea, so cleverly disguised, that it sounded perfectly logical to some, and maybe...

I was originally known as Brakelite. An allusion to attracting people's attention when danger's ahead. Backlit came into existence when I accidentally signed off the forum and no-one could help me sign in again as my password was forgotten and the forum email system broken. Backlit means I'm...

The shocking thing about that meeting is that anyone was awake.

And I'm glad He didn't give up on me. It took years to finally convince me to accept Him. In the meantime I rejected Him several times, and yet He saved my life at least twice that I know of during those years.

Not exclusively of course, but He held no qualms concerning sitting down and eating, drinking, and talking with those who not only opposed Him in everything He said and did, but we're considered as outcasts of society.

Except Jesus was constantly being denigrated and abused because throughout His 3.1/2 year ministry He chose to eat with sinners.

KJV 1 John 2:15-16 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world...

There is an easier way to work all this out. Discover from scripture and history who put what the beast is... He is fully identifiable from prophecy... And ask the beast what it's mark of authority is.

You are on the right track fluffy. Just remember that worship is involved, and required. And it's legislated through a government in union with the church. The principle aspect of worship is surrender. Who we worship is who we obey. That is the hand in action, and it could be from compromise...
