Comparing the cold ways to a concentration camp... “Before they said that (all their accusations) to Job they sat and looked at Job for seven days. Just staring at him, you know, here is the richest man in the land, and my Lord he doesn’t have a plug nickel, and what’s going on with him? And...

And the Lord Jesus says, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” - Matthew 24:12-13

Preacher goes on to say... "No need telling us to blame it on the devil all the time. Because we give him so much credit until God can't get a blessing in their edgewise. The devil made me do this and the devil is in them, I discern the spirit, and you wouldn't know the gift of discernment if it...

The Apostle Paul would also compare sermons during his time... Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the...

Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. - Hebrews 13:1-2 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he...

I am a big fan of Christian radio and seldom watch TV. I also support the bbnradio.org site and they have a local transmitter here in Christiansburg, VA which I listen to all the time. While listening in to Christian radio one day I got the following sermon in which the minister boldly...

“When I was discharged, we knew we couldn’t always control what was said over him,” Jessica remembers. “So, we posted the Word of God over him on his whiteboard: ‘The child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him’ (Luke 2:40, New International Version)...

Two weeks later, Jessica was back in the hospital due to bleeding and was preparing to be released to go home. A friend had come to visit. Leaning over to give Jessica a hug, she gasped. “You’re bleeding!” Without thinking, Jessica jumped out of bed. When she stood, it felt like water balloons...

Later, Jessica was called up front, where ministers anointed her with oil and prayed over her. “We knew we’d received our miracle,”Jessica says. “On Monday, we went to the hospital for an ultrasound. We expected the ultrasound to show amniotic fluid in my womb. It would document our miracle.”...

“Thirty percent of the placenta is already detached,” the doctor explained. “It’s sheering off, and there is a large blood clot behind it. Your son is receiving 30% less nutrients and oxygen than he needs. If he was born full term, which he won’t be, he would only have a 15% chance of survival...

When doctors advised Jessica to medically terminate her pregnancy at 19 weeks, she and her husband, Joe, chose to trust God. With the support of their church family, little Caleb was born nine weeks later. All the negative prognoses by the doctors failed to materialize. Today, at age 10, Caleb...

“Doth not all nature around me praise God? If I were silent, I should be an exception to the universe. Doth not the thunder praise Him as it rolls like drums in the march of the God of armies? Do not the mountains praise Him when the woods upon their summits wave in adoration? Doth not the...

The second recorded unbaptized Christian... Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy...

The first unbaptized Christian 39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we...

I now attend Pentecostal Holiness. As there are no Pentecostal Holiness seminaries close by most go to Lynchburg's Liberty University. It is a remarkable, yet delightful, thing for me to hear the preachers who are educated at Liberty end their prayer in Jesus Precious name. My pastor has a...

And I must say that praying in my methods do not guarantee any kind of instant results. I do like, though, in my preference, to hear Jesus name mentioned in a prayer.

I was brought up GARBC Baptist and was discipled from my earliest recollections not only to end my prayers in Jesus name but in, "Jesus Precious Name." I have prayed that way ever since and is my delight to hear others pray that way as well, admitting that the "precious" reference is not...
