    a non-eschatological Coming?

I would not necessarily use those terms...but Yes, close enough. Yes, of course.

    a non-eschatological Coming?

Sorry if I mistook your position. The common conflict that I was referring to--and thought you were too, was whether or not there would be a physical/flesh and blood return of Christ in this world. The answer is, No, as clearly stated by Jesus in John 14:19. Just pointing that out has people...

    a non-eschatological Coming?

Amazing...you describe a "church" that does not believe all of what Jesus said (John 14:19), and you call me a heretic! What you describe is NOT the church of Jesus Christ. Examine thyself. :( You are on that wide path He spoke of.

    a non-eschatological Coming?

But you have not reconciled those passages with John 14:19. --"The world sees Me no more." Which is because you have not "rightly divided" what is written of this world from that which is written of the kingdom...what is of the world, and what is not.

The 1st century way to be saved via water and Spirit baptism

No, you have misunderstood me. There is water baptism which symbolizes being born of water/women/flesh and blood, and is a foreshadowing that points to being crucified and raised up with Christ...which is the baptism of Christ, having been born again of the Spirit of God. Which the apostle...

    a non-eschatological Coming?

I gave you Jesus' answer to your question, which is better than me answering. But you do not receive it--and that is what the forum now has in writing. As for me, I do not "believe" that Jesus will be seen in the world again...but [know] that He will not--because He said so. I also told how...

    a non-eschatological Coming?

I referred to the verse (John 14:19) because it clearly states that Christ does not make a visible return to this world. (That was the question, and 7t's erroneous assertion) But the verse definitely does speak of the second coming of Christ, as He very much said what Paul also said and...

    a non-eschatological Coming?

I have. But if you do not take Jesus's word for it, why should I expect you to take my word for it?

    a non-eschatological Coming?

    John 14:19

    a non-eschatological Coming?

No...you're not listening. Such heavenly things cannot happen in this world. Your focus is on the clay and not on the Potter. These things do not point to the the one, but to the other.

    a non-eschatological Coming?

Both are not of this world.

    a non-eschatological Coming?

You don't understand. Every eye cannot see Him in the world--too many have passed on. Corpses are not going to be raised up in the world. That whole line of thinking is complete error. Nor are the clouds of heaven water vapor, but are Spirit.

    a non-eschatological Coming?

It is your choice to disagree, but there is nothing "literal " about the world--it is vanity, created out of nothing, and only an image. The words are Spirit, and only tell of the things that come by the Spirit--not of this world.

The 1st century way to be saved via water and Spirit baptism

Providing we have understanding, that is correct.
  15. ScottA

The 1st century way to be saved via water and Spirit baptism

That is correct. But in and of itself water baptism can do nothing but point to the actual baptism of being washed clean in the Spirit with Christ. We do this for the sake of spreading the gospel.
  16. ScottA

    a non-eschatological Coming?

That apparently is your interpretation...but it's wrong. And it's like I said, your interpretation is wrong...because you imagine it is all according to the terms of this world, when the matter is not about this world, but about the kingdom which is not of this world. Renew your mind...or...

The 1st century way to be saved via water and Spirit baptism

It's not a symbol. It simply establishes the need to be born again of the Spirit. You're not hearing it... What is it that dies? ...That which is born of water, that which is born of women...flesh and blood. But, yes, Christ was raise up from the dead by the glory of the Father...whom is...

    The HOMELESS Problem.

A lot of what you have mentioned I would contribute to a term I call: Progressive Escalation. It touches almost everything from new and improved gimmicks to compound interest. It is the way of men. Technology just seems to have accelerated it. But I would not be overly concerned with the...

The 1st century way to be saved via water and Spirit baptism

You should take your own advise. The apostles and disciples to whom Jesus spoke, were the start of the church of which we are also included, if we are also born of the same Spirit. If we follow Him...we also are His disciples.

    The HOMELESS Problem.

That's right...it's just greatly increased as things have advanced. Not all of the advancements have been computer related, just most. It seems to me the days of dealing with people and handshakes, created way less challenges for people to contend with. As the challenges of credit cards...
