Can a Christian have a demon?

I think we all need to be sober minded on how easily we can be deceived into thinking we are more advanced than we actually are.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Much confusion comes from a lack of clarity concerning references to law in the bible. More confusion is added to the initial confusion when the subject of grace comes in. Here is a list of laws as described in the bible. I count 7 of them. God's law: God is love. As such His commands reflect...

    Shalom brothers & sisters

Welcome Stephen! :) Are you interested in the deeper meanings hidden in the Hebrew text, I wonder?

    Beware Of Over Self-Confidence

We aren't to have any confidence in ourselves (the flesh). Too much self-confidence just looks bad. But all self-confidence makes for a carnal power in our lives. We are to have confidence ONLY in the Lord. So then as usual a popular teacher is just speaking of shallow things...what things...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Of course this is blatantly false. You live on a human level of doctrines and opinions so then it is "natural" for you to see the battle on that level. The devil doesn't care what you believe....only you do. There is no power in your beliefs. No threat. You think your opinions and beliefs are...

    The Carnal Christian

I agree with the OP in principle but for a few important points. When a person is born anew by the Spirit...OLD things are passed away. That means that everything is different...including the passing of the old man. Who we once were....the old man...is no longer a historic reality. So then from...

Street Preacher cries out: The soul who continues to sin will die

We HAVE a body...but we ARE a soul. You need to look for more than one verse to make a proper assessment. Anybody can misunderstand by making too much out of one verse. It's like trying to figure out a language by knowing only one sentence.

Can a Christian have a demon?

As an aside check this out a humourous look at the difference between men and women's brains called "the nothing box."

Can a Christian have a demon?

It is a fact. There is no need for the enemy to attack a person who is not advancing spiritually. So that's why so few people understand the kinds of attacks that are possible. They walk in the realm of theory...having no practical experience of the spiritual walk. It is unsettling at first to...

    Ageing

There's an old proverb that says that an old man sees further when seated than a younger man standing up.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Flying above the law is related to grace and flying with wings as eagles as Isaiah said. I find that there is no experience of the things of the Spirit as mentioned in the bible among those who find what I write bizarre...so people only understand things by rote using bible verses...but...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Yes! But grace frees us to fly above the law...thus fulfilling it's righteous requirements. The problem is when grace is seen as an abdication of the responsibilities we have to be obedient to the will of God.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

The opposite is true. Without law you become lawless. Grace fulfills the law or else it isn't grace but permissiveness. God is not permissive. Those who gamble on this will have a huge surprise on judgment day. Grace is the power to fulfill the law.

    Truth

IOW...a paper book....but no actual knowledge of the living God. Formulating an opinion based on a choosing of doctrinal positions invented by men....is not the same as eternal life in the Spirit which is according to the truth....the truth who is the living word of God. The letter kills but...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Your word "genuine" has a meaning that you are giving it. Can genuine Christians sin? What is genuine? Are there genuine sinners? Can someone say..."that was a genuine sin"? I think you have unrealistic and idealistic notions that stem from your view which is not experiential...but merely...

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

You are confusing a spiritually apostate church which is devoid of spiritual life and functioning, having very zealously religious people ....with a lack of church attendance. Just because people are sitting in the pews doesn't mean they have experienced life in the spiritual sense.

    Truth

The truth is found in Christ. We can only know that truth by entering into Christ. We know we have entered into Christ when everything becomes new...a new power, light, love, and a deep joy. The truth is that God is love. We discover that love when we enter into Christ....truth. There is another...

    Has anyone changed their mind...?

In the end, you can't talk someone out of a delusion. Otherwise that person wouldn't be delusional.
