    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

But as I said and am forced to repeat....you are mistaken in your reading of the text. Faith upholds the law which is written on the hearts of those who are born again by the Spirit. There is no need to abolish the law of gravity for birds to fly. Likewise there is no need to abolish God's law...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

You are obfuscating here. Is this thread about 2 Cor. 3? So you are going sideways rather than forward. If you are unable to discuss the OP...just say so. ;)

When is 'Speaking in Tongues', true versus false.

But not a biblical view. Dave, you are always comfortable with labels...preferring the seeming simplicity of a man-inspired label to the perilous quest for truth.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Again...do you mean Judaism or sinning? No, we are not to be religious. And yes through grace we have the power over sin. Grace fulfills the law of God. In Christ is no sin. So when we are in Christ we cannot sin.

    Conversion after death

...to be judged by God at the judgment. Why do you always add in your own opinion and judgment? We do have the bible. God decides our fate after death. Heb. 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,

Can a Christian have a demon?

And a dead guy is buried in the ground. But people who are seeking God can cry out to Him...they who seek Him with all their hearts will find Him. THAT is biblical...and the truth.

Can a Christian have a demon?

No. People call on the Lord TO BE saved. If a person is drowning and calls out for help....is that because they are NOT in trouble?

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

It's the works of the law that are abolished...Judaism. Judaism is the effort to religiously fulfill the law. No man can fulfill the law of God by trying hard in their own strength. It takes a higher law to overcome law. I have said this many times....but I don't think it is understood. The...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

You are drawing the opposite conclusion from the truth of the text. Having the law engraved on our hearts makes the law MORE important to keep than just on tablets of stone. This is why the whole counsel of God is crucial to understanding the individual ideas in the text. Jer. 31:33 “But this...

    A FORM OF FREEDOM

Freedom can only come about by the law of Christ...the law of the Spirit of life when we enter into Christ to walk in the Spirit. Otherwise we ARE STILL under the law of sin and death. Unfortunately what people speak of so often is a hybrid of the 2.....taking the easy elements of each so that...

So, What is our personal standing?

Yes...the roast will be taken out of the oven, so to speak, to see what has been produced. God provides the purity, and we provide the maturity....and character. Forged in the fire by God. Until Christ be formed in us.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

This is the problem with not sorting out what law means in the context. There is the law of Moses, the law of God, and the works of the law. Then there is the law of sin and death in our members, the law of the Spirit of life...and the law of faith. So until these are differentiated there is no...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

You are speaking of works of the law...not the reality or the righteousness of the law. So unless somebody is thinking of converting to Judaism your argument doesn't address the issue at hand. What is the relation of the law to grace? You have these working against each other which is the very...

Easy to post, not as easy to live!

It takes a lot of humility to admit that they are much better than they think they are.

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

When we come to realize that we are so broken....we can go to God to get His NT fix. A new creation. A new relationship with our Creator.

    Upping the ante

We will be judged harder than they in the OT. Grace brings a much harder judgment. An encounter with holiness ups the ante. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden...

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

Grace and faith uphold the law. Without the law no one can be saved...because no one can make an end run around the truth. Salvation must be great IN REALITY...not just in theory. We are to worship the Lord in Spirit and truth...not in a subjective view of ourselves being saved in spite of our...

    19. Didn't God Choose Us Long Before We Accepted Him?

Not so fast! ;) God foreknows things because He is God. He sees the future as well as the past. All of time is laid out before Him. But since His is the biggest secret-keeper in the universe don't expect any hints on the outcomes of individuals. Now most people think that God would never elect...
