Yeah. I was wanting to understand more about Englishmen. So I asked a Scotsman.

Why don't you ask the beast what his mark is?

I find it not a little odd that so many anti Sabbatarians are willing to so readily decry and pour scorn on that concept, while in the very same breath are willing to admit that have no idea of who the beast actually is. I mean, if you don't have a clue to the identity of the beast, then how can...

The question, is it sin, which of answered correctly, will lead one in a wise manner as to how to encourage others to stop smoking. Smoking does kill. It is a slow form of suicide. This isn't about moralizing or condemning... It's about saving lives which is precisely what Jesus came to do. And...

I can't vouch for this... Yet.

That last block perfectly describes the counter reformation.

@CharismaticLady Regarding Antiochus... This ‘little horn’ of Daniel 8 was to exceed the greatness of all the preceding horns. Media/Persia “became great” (Daniel 8:4); The he-goat itself was to wax “very great”, (Daniel 8:8), but this little horn was to grow and become “exceeding great”.(...

@marks Okay. The acid test of the year/day principle is whether the events forecasted were fulfilled on schedule. In other words, the pragmatic test of historical fulfillment must be applied to the historicist interpretation of these prophecies. Does the historicist method pass the test...

Are you fully aware of what it is you are arguing for?? Are you fully cognizant of the nature of that which you are proposing?? Do you realize that your argument directly affects your appraisal of the nature and character of God. You, and numerous others of course who happen to agree with you...

Simply put, it's righteousness by faith. "All thy commandments are righteousness".

Uh, no thanks. I've been sharing the gospel and the biblical doctrine of the full divinity of Christ and His part in the Godhead with Witnesses for over 40 years. A Bible study now isn't going to change what I have already accepted as Truth.

In another passage Jesus adds a further component to this conversation... KJV Matthew 10:28 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. To think that Jesus contradicts Himself is, well...

@Illuminator The church might not have been able to accomplish that feat with real cherubims or real beasts, but she did her best with what she had, and thus has produced the best counterfeit she could and sufficient to delude millions. Only by a correct understanding of the scripture is her...

I can't believe you said that with a straight face. 1Samuel 4:4 ‭So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth ‭between‭ the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, ‭were‭ there with the ark of...

Such was the agenda regarding the Jews in Germany... The Huguenots in France... The Tutsi and Hutu in Rwanda... Democrat and republican in America... Divide and conquer. It has been the way of the political elite for centuries. A certain outcome is desired. You know that no-one would accept it...

I guess that fully explains the absurd translation of this OT verse... Found in the Douay Jesuit version. Habakkuk 3:18 ‭But I will rejoice in the Lord: and I will joy in God my Jesus.

I could think of something... Your perception that Adventists don't understand the covenants.

Lol. Took me a long time to work out how to spell.

I agree. As I said else where, it was it here, can't remember, scripture interprets itself. So before anytime starts giving prophetic time periods a symbolic understanding, one would first have A. Precedent B. Examples C. Accurate results using that method. As I said to CL above, I'm in my...

This is the ideal thread to discuss this. And no, Antiochus for numerous reasons cannot possibly bear any relationship whatsoever to the 2300 days. I'm in my car at the moment, but will address this more fully when I get home. For an ex Adventist who according to you has so much regard for...
