The expressions ‘time, times and the dividing of time’, ‘42 months’, ‘1260 days’, and ‘70 weeks’, are very peculiar. They could have been expressed in literal language but instead they are given a symbolic flavor. Notice, for example, that Luke 4:25 and James 5:17 refer to the period when there...

Yes, which was Titus, but this was still God's doing in that He allowed it by lifting His sovereign protection from the nation, the abomination of desolation being the armies that surrounded Jerusalem planting their idolatrous standards in holy ground.

But this is off topic but happy to discuss elsewhere.

Uh huh. So we are worms? All you have told me is that the fire cannot be quenched. That's it. Sure, people are cast in there where they will not have a good time. But it doesn't say they stay there forever does it. What is the normal result of anything being in a fire which cannot be put out...

He's the only one who could.

You cannot discern from scripture the plan of redemption, and who will be saved and who lost? "There is none righteous, no not one". So how does one become righteous... Even more than the Pharisees... To get a pass?

The Bible does not teach that suffering in fire is forever. It says the fire is eternal. It says the punishment is forever. It says the smoke goes up forever. The Bible nowhere says sinners are being burnt forever. Sinners do not have immortal life. The redeemed are given immortal life as a...

KJV Daniel 9:27 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: From 27AD to 31AD in person, from 32AD to 34AD through His apostles. Total 7 years. He sent them first to the Jewish nation (Matthew 10:5, 6) because His chosen people still had three and a half years remaining of...

It all stems from a complete misunderstanding as to Who God is... His character... God grace... His love. Look at it this way. A. God is going to burn everyone forever in hell who rejects Him. B. If I burn them for a short time now, which leads to their confessing Jesus, they'll thank me...

Seriously?

I believe I have somewhat of an understanding of where you are coming from. My older sister was educated in a boarding school for Catholic girls. She is 18 years older than me, so left home for marriage long before i ever had the opportunity to get to know her. I was only 5 when her children...

And that dear readers is the perfect example of how scripture interprets itself. No need for a magisterium to decide what the scripture means. No need for commentaries to teach us how to understand God's word. That is why Sola scriptura was the principle cry of the reformers. Scripture...

What happened in the past in Canada and only recently coming to light, was well known to the tribes and people's descended from those earlier generations. They have been pleading for justice and investigation for decades, to no avail. Just as the aborigine folk in Australia have been doing, for...

With that in mind, let me quote this guy... “A true and safe leader is likely to be one who has no desire to lead, but is forced into a position of leadership by the inward pressure of the Holy Spirit and the press of the external situation. Such were Moses and David and the Old Testament...

The inference in the previous posts is that right from the get go, Christians abandoned the Sabbath and embraced Sunday because this was God's will revealed to the church. Can any of you explain then why this tradition of Sunday observance was only practised in Rome and Alexandria at least for...

No-one will be lost because they didn't observe the Sabbath. Those who didn't observe the Sabbath will be lost because they didn't believe God's word which said, "if ye love Me, keep My commandments". They didn't believe God's word that says, "to the law and to the testimony, if they speak not...

The so called finished work of Christ; does that excuse disobedience?

Lockdowns and masks. Oh how I praise God that finally, this world is now well ordered, obedient, compliant, and caring. How wonderful it is that everyone (almost) is now doing what governments tell them. Staying locked up in their houses. What joy it is now to be able to stroll around the...

And your denials don't remove the facts of history. If that forgery which contained the name vicarius filii dei was promoted and used by the Pope's for centuries to justify papal supremacy, apostolic succession, land theft and secular authority, then they also accepted the name and the document...

Of course, the 666 thing aside, there are so least 10 other identifying characteristics of the Antichrist given in scripture. The fact that the entity identified as the only viable candidate also used a blasphemous name in a forged document, and equivalent renditions of that same name on...
