Jehovah is either God or He is not, correct?

    "We are one. "

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Yes, the prodigal son was not saved before leaving his father. He was not saved, lost, then saved again. He was lost then saved. Once.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Yeah, I guess they got the name of the book of Romans wrong. Silly me. Either way, as the record states, they were only "called."

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

If all you read was Romans...you might be right. But Paul wrote much more than Romans. Scripture against scripture, line upon line, here a little, there a little. Have you not read this?

You're playing games. I'm not. Even so, you never answered.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

What have the dead to do with the living?

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

I am not presuming anything, nor is a laundry list of all that Christ came for the topic of the thread. But you brought it up. Nonetheless, it all centers around atonement.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

What is "it" then that you presume Christ came for? (I'm not trying to be smart, but to help you think it through. )

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Excellent point! Saved means saved, and never means never. If anyone has an ear, let them hear.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You are not "right dividing" the word as Paul instructed. Again...Paul was speaking about Old Testament issues of the law, and speaking...preaching to the unsaved Romans. But I suspect that you will think that Paul himself was saved, making his counsel not about what he said, but what he...

New Testament Timeline. Destruction of the Temple in 70 AD

Because the 12 were among the dead in Christ (the house of Israel). Paul, on the other hand, was only on the cusp himself, and only sent to the gentiles to teach for the long haul, for the complete times of the gentiles...while Israel sleeps.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

That is the teachings of men. Again..."if" one is saved...it is no longer they who live, but God who lives in them. And God does not "backslide", but "is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

"It is finished." Yes, this you have made perfectly clear.
  14. ScottA

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You misunderstand. If one is actually saved, it is no longer they who live, but God who lives. Thus, it is no longer their [free] will, but God's. And it is not His will "that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

    Reasoning Together

Romans 11:29 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of. Thank you!

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Christ laid down His life, that He might take it up again. This is the way--He is the Way. That is the correct model, and the one we are to follow. Anything else is religion and the teachings of men.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Thank you for stating your own belief that Christ has not finished it, that salvation is not in Him, and that He is not the End. But that is not what is written, nor is it the truth.
  18. ScottA

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Because the world does not know God, and only some believe.

    Neither Jew Nor Gentile

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Indeed, sin can negate eternal life...not once one has entered into it (and God in you), but before. As for the writings of Paul, they are true. However, the context is of those on the fence, or rather in the midst of the greatest transitional period the world has ever known, of which Christ...
