    Are Christianity and Buddhism compatible?

That's my point. Christians who do no more than a Buddhist would...or less...and then condemn the Buddhist thereby condemning themselves who do the same....or less. The hypocrisy is in claiming too much for oneself and judging others for doing the same....or less.

    Knowing "Truth"

Once the human ego gets involved ....things tend to get exaggerated to the benefit of self. So "a" truth is received as "the" truth...with a self-congratulatory appeal. Hence today we have these divisions in the church centered on being the pillar and ground of "a" truth. Why does "exegesis"...

    Explaining Christ As Life

The key in all this is to find our lives in Christ by abiding in Him. Then our life is IN Christ and not just Christ being somewhere inside of us. People tend to be happy with a superficial relationship of Christ being an inner forgiver for a life that is NOT IN Christ.

    Explaining Christ As Life

That judgment is for they who are without Christ....who don't know Him and yet receive Him though His servants.

    Are Christianity and Buddhism compatible?

There is a similarity in the sense that the Buddha came to the conclusion that we should treat others how we wish to be treated. But a Christian passes everything through God whereas a Buddhist does things in his own strength and understanding. Jesus clarified the situation by saying to love...

MATTHEW 4:23 GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM ******

This is false as a simple bible search will prove. The purpose of the OP is therefore not in keeping with the truth. So this is a "wind of doctrine" alert. There is but one gospel...which is of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is according to grace and power. We enter in by faith. A...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

This is false. The word is weakness. It's not that we can't imagine the good....it's that we are too weak to do it. Again false. Salvation is always conditional to having a right attitude....and that attitude is not in thinking how saved we are. Again...wrong. Jesus died for the sins of the...

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

That's what I wouldn't do. Does God need to be defended? Just pray that the person would be convicted by the Spirit.

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

I don't think being defensive does anything to solve a person's opinion. One could ask, why they feel that this is so. Depending on the circles they frequent...it could be true.. I would not get personal about it. The mistake can stop right there without adding to it.

So, what does God expect of us?

"By HIS stripes we are healed." This is speaking of the cross of Christ and it's power of separation and death on us....so that our inner man is freed to walk with Jesus. Until then we are in bondage to the flesh....and live in the power of the outer natural man. Paul gloried in the cross of...

    Binding and Loosing

...or it is an authority...but just not of Christ.

So, what does God expect of us?

It is the part of us that needs Jesus....the inner man. So then we exchange one master...the natural outer man....for another. We detach ourselves from ourselves to follow Christ.

So, what does God expect of us?

To fulfill anything of the Lord one must live out these things through Him. Other religions and philosophies center around man doing his best to be able to live in a world with other people...and not destroy each other. But Christianity is living a life IN the Lord. IOW....everything is to pass...

    What is a Christian?

It is about faith, hope and love...at varying depths and authenticity. What stands against the true faith and it's earthly representation is arrayed the world with the devil behind it. But the worst enemy of all is our own selfish way of preserving that which God condemns. We, so often, are...

    Handwriting Of Ordinances

First...Jesus died for the sins of the whole world...not just Christians. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. A Christian believer is called...

    THE DAY OF CHRIST

...and losses. Many believers will be exposed as lax in their duties and be cast out of God's presence...a place they were very at home with in this life. We tend to keep God where we want Him. It is very possible to be cast into outer darkness as a believer in Christ. The onus is on us to grow...

    The New "I"

I think all believers clean up their act regarding big sins in the early hours of their walk in the Lord. But it is the little foxes that spoil the vineyard...the more refined sins of self-interest and selfishness....these will soon learn to hide from the light of truth. If we were wise we would...

How much ungodly behavior do you see in the church?

How many people seek to live a crucified life....a life surrendered to God in simplicity? I think the focus has shifted to people and their wants, needs and aspirations,...as opposed to Christ and the will of God.
