LOL @Pierac thinks I give YOU too much data!! Yes. All of the above is misunderstood when the Trinity is not accepted. At least you believe Jesus is divine (to use your word) and at least you don't think He was just a man. (as some do). I just wrote to another poster regarding the Holy Spirit...

Hi Devin, I don't know anywhere in the N.T. that states we are to take a vow and follow church rules. In the books of Corinthians 1 and 2 Paul does deal with a church that defellowshipped a member for having relations with his stepmother....but then Paul told that church to take him back in so...

I'm sorry,,,I should have been more clear... This is the part I don't understand... For instance, when you teach that men without Gods Spirit will be eternally tortured, you are teaching that all men are born immortal, in my post 1321.

What do you mean by the above highlighted? Agreed.

SBG... I don't understand what you mean... and it's still pretty early here!

SHE hits ME up with a lot of data!! Guess you haven't been following along. I've BEGGED her to slow down! I skimmed over the above and I always think we agree. Can It Be??! o_O

The Didache is most probably between 90 and 120....most scholars believe it is closer to 90AD I can't remember what I agreed with! The way the Mass is done today is NOT how it was done in the beginning. I might have been agreeing with that. Do you think it is? Is the above list from the...

The Early Fathers knew what scripture said. The problem is that hundreds of years went by and men are power hungry and full of the sin nature and they corrupted the original church until it wasn't recognized anymore. I think this is happening again right now in the Protestant denominations.

I don't think they'd like some of the images people pick out. A lot of them are rather "dark".

Amen. Scholars in the beginning going through the letters and gospels studied this. They weren't dumb, to put it bluntly.

Of course I agree. But can't the little ones have some fun? Don't you think it's useless to remove Santa from Christmas IF the parents are atheist anyway? I think the parents have an effect on their children. I see that another poster is very upset over this.... I just don't think kids equate...

Tigger WHY do we need Greek lessons to understand the N.T.? Are we professors here? Scholars studying the N.T. down to every jot and tittle? You post one expert, I post the other saying the opposite. Write in your own words. Write what you're convicted of. I mean, you can do the above...

Were these people Christian? Especially the Law-Giver?

Not to much to disagree with here. You can believe Jesus is God's agent. But what is an agent? Is he God? Jesus is the Savior...the 2nd Person of the Trinity is the Savior...The Son is the 2nd Person and is Jesus, God in the flesh. Isaiah 9:6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be...

I was JK. And now... Bon Nuit...

You're right. Sometimes we think too much. I had to teach this stuff to kids and got very interested in theology and apologetics because one of my faults is that I have to understand everything. As far as my soul is concerned, I'm resting in our Lord Jesus and am depending on Him as a compass...

Hmmm. I think you misunderstood my post... but I'm toooo sleepy to go over it! 'night.

KRIS KRINGLE MEANS CHRIST CHILD! I'm horrified. But, CR, this is taking it too far, no? I just can't think it has that much effect on a kid... although you've convinced me that some are affected by this idea of growing out of Santa and growing out of Jesus. Some Christians won't even celebrate...

Yes! Too big... Takes up too much skin (you know what I mean). I like it,,,but it's too big. But it's the perfect size for the shoulder! Decisions Decisions !!

2 Great posts Pierac. 1:30 am here - can hardly think anymore! Your stoic translation BTW, seems to be correct to me... to be cont'd...
