The first step is to love God! That verse " to know thee the only true God and Jesus" means we need to do something indeed... to love God as He has loved us even before we were first drawn to Him. If our purpose is focused primarily on the rewards offered to overcomers including Eternal Life...

Yes, we open the door to our hearts and then we do our little bit that alone would not suffice to accomplish God's ultimate purpose for us. Then because we give it what we do have and keep on giving it, God fills in the gaps. God takes up the slack. God does for us what we cannot do for...

The salvation was also to be seen by the brothers, but how similar are those brothers to many so-called brothers we know or have known today in assemblies or not, on forums or not, who greet the newbies into their assemblies even as Joseph was greeted. He may have been a hard to respect hard to...

@Amazed@grace @Hidden In Him @Mayflower @Philip James @amigo de christo @Cooper @VictoryinJesus @Waiting on him @Helen Again the flamboyant many coloured clothes of men after their spoils putting on a front supposedly perhaps for God, but actually very much for self and what self may...

Yes indeed, we have two situations, very similar and yet very different. The brothers looking to their own interests abused both, but we see the male victim elevated from slavery to the second ruler of Egypt, but Egypt for all of that is the very depths of sin and death. Joseph was used to save...

Really good to see you here old friend. I have thought about you more than once here, especially when the subject of time and God has come up. Sometimes I have tagged you when this has happened in hopes that maybe you would be able to make a contribution... Give God the glory!

Yes, my friend, Jesus is the Truth. Stand with Him always and He will help you always. That is the ideal!

We may not be disagreeing so much in ultimate purposes, as perhaps in timing and methodology.

@Lifeisannillusion I am praying for your situation now. Talk to God about it daily. Ask Him to help you do things better. Give God the glory!

Read his words carefully trying to understand. His first language is Not English and in addition to that he is autistic, but sometimes he posts some good things or ask some good questions. He may require a little help at times to understand so use careful simple language if you can. His "see me...

Even now Helen!

Several sometime lengthy comments, but only consider the two many colored garments. One was worn by Joseph who was sent in slavery to Egypt. The other was worn by Tamar, daughter of David the King, who was raped by her brother, Amnon. Both of them were abused by their own siblings!

Good to see you here Helen! You really are missed around here. I hope you are feeling better. Last we time we talked you were suffering greatly from a UTI.

Thanks! It is quite a ways for Oklahoma, but not really that far. I was never his fan, but I always liked that song but not as much as this one... My mother used to hear this writer of this song Woodie Guthrie on the radio when she lived in Oklahoma a young girl.... I remember her singing it...

Indeed, today with modern sew machines and other weaving devices and such it is a job. My wife was good at it, but it is hard to imagine 3,000 years ago when even the cloth itself had to be made before it could be formed into a wearable garment?

I don't recall seeing that but she did hang a bit of scarlet thread out the window to identify her home when the city was being attacked by the Hebrews. My wife worked out our home as a seamstress for years so there were always threads, ribbons, pieces of cloth and sewing machines around. No...

Good to see you posting even a little, sister. I am praying for you as well!

@My Dreams Praying for India and the many needs expressed!

That, yes, and also a Covering which won't easily unravel. The leaves won't do it. Even the skins provided by God won't do it. Stop gaps, but now if we accept it we are fully covered... no gaps, no seams, no weaknesses and whiter than snow!

@LILAC Welcome to the forum! No snow expected in Oklahoma but plenty of rain!
