AMEN @Heb 13:8 :)

@Stranger Good post and clearly said.

And, as 2 Tim 1 says There is also "a spirit of fear". When a person comes under an unreasonable heavy fear...it is not a 'wise kind' of fear ( "don't touch the fire") but it is a spirit of heaviness , the spirit of fear. A spirit of fear does not leave by being praying it away...it leaves by...

Jesus Christ..The last Lamb slain. Lev 17-11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

No I am not. I believe as the bible says..."Our God is a consuming Fire"... But we are also taught the God is Love. So...I believe that the Fire of God's love will remove all that fails the tests of judgment. The bible ( 1 Cor 13 ) tells us that Love always wins and love judges all...

This is almost an hour later... ......and now I can't get that wretched tune out of my head! lol

The bible without the Spirit is nothing more than an interesting book. "It is The Spirit that giveth life."

Well, all I can say to that is WOW!!! And now you can see why I am for sure NOT part of the church system... I can no longer relate to all this leftwing modern "churchified" garbage.

Agree...and ditto...( I was 22) I too fell for Hal Lindsey's stuff... Thankfully as I studied I saw all the error in it. It sold books and made movies...but it is still not truth. And, from where I sit, it has done almost as much damage as the rapture theory when it was first invented in the...

Just your unique use of the English language. :)

True. We can 'try' as much as we like. We can even wax eloquent when passing on the gospel ....but unless the Holy Spirit anoints those words into their hearts.. they are lifeless...only He can anoint their ears. In our evangelism days before we went out, we would always pray first that their...

Our relationship is not with the Bible...it is with a Person. A person in leadership who is lead by the Holy Spirit may well not use even a "handful" of scriptures. He ( The Holy Spirit) may only use one scripture. Life ( in any meeting) is not found in 'preaching scriptures', be it few or...
