The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

That is the problem with language having been confounded by God. Some read such passages and become blind to all of what is also written that should clarify what is meant, that it is not a contradiction that can be taken up against other passages. That same practice is used by those who do not...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Yes, which distinction is not complete and even greatly misunderstood, without clarifying that "fruits" are of the "Spirit" and spirit.

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Yes, they are the same. All that is made manifest is temporal/for a time/finite.

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

No, you make the same assumptions that have been made for thousands of years, believing only a part of what is written while contradicting the rest, and not reconciling all truth. "Flesh and bones", as it is with all the elements of this world are destine to be "destroyed with fervent heat and...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

No, I explained that, as did Jesus who said that the spirit cannot be seen. But I have reconciled both truths and explained, while you continue to contradict Christ, saying that they saw the spirit--which they did not, nor could they.

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Like Christ being slain before the foundation of the world and then manifest in the fullness of time, all things both good and evil are manifest from their origin in the heavenly realm before the world began. So, it is not the flesh per se, because all that is manifest of the elements of this...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Certainly: Romans 8:11-14, the key word to bring perspective is "mortify", meaning "put to death." This is not to say "glorify" or "supernaturalize", but rather to lay it down, to sacrifice that body as Christ did, that the spirit of God born in you should live. Likewise, the use of the word...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

That is a great observation! It is the body of Christ that is His body, his flesh in the world until the end. Yes, it could even be said that "Christ in us" is that "like manner."

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

No...your #1 point came with your own reservations, your own understanding, saying "but" then adding your own words which do not agree with the scriptures. Instead of embracing the perfect spirit only nature of God and the future of men born again by His spirit, you have done all that you can to...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

    1. The scriptures do not say that. You have added to the scriptures and have come up with your own understanding. We were warned not to do that. 2. New heavens and new earth, but unlike this world, literal as God is literal. Only after this earth is "destroyed with fervent heat and with fire."...

"Have you ever had a spiritual paranormal encounter?"

Very well put. And to think that some would remove the very M. O. of God out of the realm of possibilities...is just astounding.

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

What is clear, is that He gave His body to His church, saying, "Take, eat, this my body.", that He only committed His spirit to the Father, and that "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God", etc.. So, no, biblically you are wrong. PS, And I am not going to play this loonytunes game...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

If you won't I won't. But I say that because, to be honest in replying to your comment and question I will need to be uncomfortably critical: You would have to be greatly ignorant to assume that someone speaking of the second coming, is not in fact witnessing that Jesus has already come in...

The "like manner" of Acts 1:9-11

Acts 1:11 "Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing...

What is meant by "rightly dividing the word of truth?"

For the OP passage (2 Timothy 2:15) I agree. So, I suppose that the reason in my mind for this discussion, is that it points to the dividing nature of God with regarding the things of heaven and earth...i.e. light and darkness, good and evil, etc..

    The Rest of The Dead

Okay, we're done. Again you speak for yourself psychological projections of the very thing you yourself are doing not receiving all of what is written even though I have repeatedly given the other passages and reconciled them to what you ha presented, while you have not been able to reconcile...

A prophet is not without Honour, except in his own country, and in his own house.

It is pretty amazing that God has revealed the truth by very selectively choosing individuals for thousands of years, some of whom were the least of men, to speak for Him...and repeatedly the masses don't wise up and get with the program and just keep on killing those sent. Only now, they simply...

    The Rest of The Dead

As I said, you read and even quote the words but you do not understand their meaning. Even when it blatantly states that "the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night", you do not perceive the hour. This is that night, and those things listed in the scriptures you quoted are happening...

    The Rest of The Dead

You have not described what should take place, nor is that my witness. As I said, the disciples did not see what Jesus said they could not see, nor is that what the two men spoke of. But rather that they saw what they could see of Him ascending whereby they had proof that He had gone to be with...

    The Rest of The Dead

You have not been perceiving all that you have read. It is written that Jesus Himself said "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Therefore, the disciples did not see what...
