    right decision

@goforit/leap Mel posted this last year. After reading what his parents said about him.... another reason I tried to encourage Mel to get work. https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/scolding.51836/

Putting this in bold so it will be more visible amongst the quotes. The most current news we heard was that Mel didn't want to sign a lease for the shop after all. I asked what happened about that decision and he didn't answer me. He also didn't tell me the area would have people that he knows...

    Just curious.....

No, it isn't being a good steward. It actually enables the person not to help themselves. Especially on the Internet, we must be careful about those that always are posting about being in need. They know Christians have kind hearts and usually will try to donate. I came across someone...

@Jay Ross is only admonishing you, Mel. As I also have tried to do, with apparently little success. Admonish: To urge or exhort (someone to do something). To remind (someone) of something forgotten or disregarded, as an obligation or a responsibility.

    World's richest beggar...

And there are also some self-named "Christian workers" who use Christian forums to beg. (They do not ask directly as that is against forum policy.) Investigate them and you will see very little ministry is being done.

What facts? Maybe you are getting more donations here than at Worthy, so you don't want me here.

I notice you will not admit that you have received donations....money and even cell phones.

It is not false witness if I am telling the truth. You have received donations, haven't you? Rather than working it seems. When you were facing jail time (up to 7 years ) for unpaid loans and refused to look for work, I was shocked.

    World's richest beggar...

This guy makes a living from begging. He has collected one million dollars from begging and owns property. The above is why it's important to donate only through legitimate charities such as Christian Aid in Virginia. (They thoroughly check out each indigenous ministry they help.) In India...

    right decision

So what was your decision about leasing the shop in order to provide for your family? If you do not lease the shop, you should at least seek other employment. For years you have talked of starting various businesses but nothing is ever done. Maybe you should work for someone else to earn...

What happened to the simple vegetable hand cart business? I remember you talking about this for a long time, as well as other business ideas. We live by faith but it's also necessary to take action if it's about providing for our families...

P.S. Mel, Is the end of the video where the shop is? If so, where are all of the people? Do people come out at other times of the day? You need foot traffic to get customers. Also, you had mentioned a shop by your daughter's school. Would that be a better location for getting customers?

    A coyote and her toys

They can even scale very tall walls. A lady here has a twenty foot tall wall.....the coyote got in and grabbed her dog. The lady managed to scare it off by yelling. Dog is ok. She was scared of the other coyotes is what the man says. He said they would have killed her.

Mel, all businesses need to sign a lease. Afterwards the business owner works hard in order to make a success of his business! Yesterday you were talking about opening other vegetable shops besides this one! (Jay and I advised you to concentrate on this shop first.) Now it sounds like you...

    This is one spoiled coyote!

Had episodes of lack of oxygen to my brain

@dev553344 You can have it checked out. Another possibility could be an episode of severe anxiety or a panic attack. If a person freaks out when it occurs, it only escalates.
  17. Debp

    start

@My Dreams I was thinking the same as Jay Ross. You need to concentrate on making this business a success first. Don't forget to post a video of your shop once it opens.

    Squirrel pet

Do you have any stray cats by your house? If so, I heard the smell of cats will keep rats away. As long as the cats are spayed and neutered, they will be a big help against rats. Some cities offer free spaying and neutering. Either the city shelters or even animal rescue groups...

Wants vs Needs: How do you decide whether to purchase something on your want list?

I was never a buyer. But my mom tended to buy stuff. I would always ask "do we really need it?" Finally I gave up asking. It's funny because then she stopped buying so much. I have given a lot of stuff away to thrift stores throughout the years. And some items to people I like. But if I...

A warning: How scammers get control of your computer

It's really horrible. Our hospital got hacked a few years ago. A couple of weeks ago we got a letter that mom's pension company got hacked. I tried to sign her up for the two year free credit monitoring but they couldn't verify her for some reason. (With the hospital hack, the one year...
