How do you know them when you meet them? By their fruits right? They are recognised by their works... It us by their works that Christians are judged.

You are correct in much of what you have presented here, including the historic fact that Adventists have tended toward legalism. You are also correct in citing Paul as saying that no-one has ever kept God's commandments, which after all is why the plan of salvation was undertaken right? It's...

Exactly, amen. And the result of that faith through the grace of God, they become "doers of the law". They dont become justified by doing the law, but if you are looking for people who are justified, look for doers of the law.

Never. Surrender to Jesus Christ. All of them...if they agree with scripture. If they don't agree with scripture, cast them aside. Good for them. Tell me, what authority takes precedence? That of the constitution of the United States, or the councils of the Catholic Church when they contradict...

The current Pope then is the identity of the man who was lying to me. “You must not behave like human business that try to attract more people,” Pope Francis said , “To use a technical word: you must not proselytize. It is not Christian to proselytize.” The same bloke said on another occasion...

I expected nothing less than this from you BoL. Your "double-speak" on this forum, along with the same tactic by others here and Catholicism in general when it speaks of "religious liberty", justification by faith "alone", and so many other issues which she pretends to be mild mannered and...

I edited the post. You need to read further.

What this entire discussion is about... Ecclesiastical authority in the context of Catholicism... Strikes at the very heart of Protestantism and American constitutional law. The God given right for every man to worship according to his or her own conscience. The Catholic hierarchy has hated...

Can you give me an example in the scriptures please of a Christian observing Sunday as a sacred day? I can give you several examples of Christians, in the book of acts, even gentiles, who observed the Sabbath. I worship God every day. I don't worship any day. I do honor the 7th day Sabbath...

Would you reference Bread of Life, Marymog, Philip James and the other Catholics on this site as your authority on what is true Catholic teaching? What about me, who is ex Catholic, would you consider me an authority on Catholicism? Those Catholics above would tell you to go to the source, not...

BF gave you biblical proof that there is no basis in scripture for Sunday sacredness. Your response affirmed this. That events took place on the first day of the week does not make the day sacred, blessed, holy, or necessarily a day that belongs to the Lord. Neither do any of those events remove...

Don't know if the above conversation was related to SDAs, but when you speak of an "SDA gospel of salvation by grace plus law" you reveal your ignorance of their teaching. But hey, don't feel bad, you're not on your own in pronouncing conclusions based on faulty information from those who don't...

Do you realise that Jesus, the Son of God, was the Creator of all things? And that includes His own earthly mother who was an obedient vessel and conduit for the human Jesus. I am sure Mary will receive all appropriate honors when she is raised to glory at the second coming along with all of...

There's nothing wrong with religion if it's in harmony with the biblical mandates. Loving others and caring for them. Isaiah 58 describes the true Christian religion.

If you say so.

One will certainly not find any reference to persecution in revised historical thesis by Jesuit scholars. But if you read history books be competent historians, even Catholic ones if they're not out of print, you will discover a very different story.

No evidence that Mary has replaced Jesus in the minds of Catholics? Your post is all the evidence required.

Mmmm. So according to you the church should not be apologising for the 30 to 50 million estimated innocent victims of papal persecution and war. Okay.

Then why are all the dungeons and torture chambers on church property?
