If that were true, then you would accept the following, that

Yes, so true. Religion, if it doesn't serve others, is selfish and hypocritical. Proving, as you say, one's religiosity by observing rituals and times and seasons is not and can never be relationship with Christ. You're no bother at all.

Which ironically is frowned upon in Catholic circles. Proselytizing they call it. One wonders why so many are here.

Pope Francis joins with CEOs of Fortune 500 companies to form a new council focused on creating a more equitable economy

Like I said to my son when he posted this on Facebook. C'mon man. That's Russian misinformation. He got injected in the left arm and those nasty Russians swapped arms.

You are attempting to fit an invented rapture theory into an eschatology based on wrong assumptions. You have tried to force a square peg into a non existent hole. You need to start at the beginning and change your entire eschatological framework from futurism to historicism. Move away from the...

Sad.

Islamist extremists may have a certain scary but very limited impact on certain pockets of Christianity here and there, but they will never have the global impact or influence that prophecy demands of the end-time powers described in scripture. That honor, of global influence, if you are looking...

How can you claim to be trusting in Jesus when you don't believe or obey what He said? "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God". Matthew 4:4 And God spake all these words saying... "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy..." Exodus 20. PS...

The apostle Paul describes Christ as ―the wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24, see also 2:1-8). Solomon says wisdom was ―brought forth (Proverbs 8:24:25). Only God can be brought forth of God. Anything that is not brought forth of God is created (a part of creation). Christ was not created. He is...

Except in reality you reduce it to nine, then pretend tradition expresses love as opposed to obedience. Sorry if that sounds blunt, I say that with love, not in an attempt to condemn or troll. It simply is what it is.

If you were a true Protestant, upholding scripture and scripture alone, you wouldn't be resorting to your own commentary to support your doctrine. You would be allowing the Bible to interpret itself, as I showed in my post to Mary #664.

And on that flimsy piece of evidence a commandment is set aside in favour of tradition and almost the whole Protestant world surrenders to Catholic authority on the mater.

There's no such thing as Jewish Sabbath Mary. and if this were true... You would understand the following scripture... Mt 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Mr 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. Lu 6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man...

So the inquisitions were inquiries held only toward the faithfulness or otherwise against Catholics? The torture chambers underneath the churches throughout Europe (you can still visit many of them today if you have a mind that can handle the obscene) were there only to torture Catholics, and...

An absolutely delightful day spent with wife, daughter, son in law, 6 grandchildren, a dog named Sebastian,a tortoise, 5 budgies, and a kangaroo. Loving relationships. The only real meaningful gift in life.

Indeed, and I agreed that the church has such authority. The analogy I offered was of a club who has authority to give the boot to someone not willing to follow the rules and the purpose of the club, so we are agreed on that. However, my question was a follow up.... Yes, if one chooses to...

Why do you reject authority? I don't. I just reject the Antichrist's despotism.

Yet your church and you are not following the example of the Apostles in keeping the traditions of the elders. In fact 300 years later thorough state sponsored legislation and persecution, they managed to enforce new traditions. Strange behaviour for a church that claims such high moral integrity.

Your welcome. But you didn't answer my question. What busyness does the Catholic Church have with persecuting those that are not in their club?
