NO!! AS long as we are ready and have oil in our lamps...Endtime doctrine with all the i's dotted and all the T's crossed matter little. I have said before and I will continue saying...A man can have perfect doctrine ...yet treat his family roughly, he may kick his dog, and not care one bit...

Okay I can see that thought pattern. NOT that I agree with it! Anytime I got an envelope in any church for giving...I never fill in my name. I give to God, not for a tax benefit. And any "charitable giving" whoever it is...we don't get tax receipts. Our choice. The Church should...

Well all I can say to that is WOW!!! I am shaking my head. I think that is the kind of thing which made Jesus turn over the tables!!

Thanks Oz Like you and many, I am guessing, I have been on all kinds of Christian forums over the last 15 years. I usually "bow-out" and withdraw from the Site when it gets what I call negative. I mean by that, when there are more argumentative and negative posting than uplifting...

Yes it is totally wrong. Why? Because in all giving we are giving to God, not man, and not a church...God. Not saying that the Pastor, Vicar, Priest should have done something..like pull the little boy aside and in love teach him about theft. Especially thrift to God. What a missed...

Lets face it...anyone new or young Christian coming on this Site could well be talking out of their little bit of new faith pretty darn quickly. I sure don't read much in the faith line on here any given day!!!!! I've been at this game a long time...and even mine is getting eroded...

A true saying!!! Trouble is John..who was at fault? We are told to "go to church"...but when he do we unlearn FAITH in no time. What is the answer..seriously?

Agree, she always takes it back to the some 'ol same 'ol whichever thread she is in! I am a little tired ( actually a lot tired) of all the silly arguments which are just pretending to be discussions. I am not posting much if anything at all just now. Maybe some new ones will...

I see free will something like- Mother has plans for the day...the kids can play in the garden , climb trees, argue, even fight, get muddy, have fun....but that wont ruins mothers plans for the day of the whole family. No allegory is perfect...but that is a bit like I see God, us, and His...

@pia Faith grown through testing,..so you should have an abundance of faith because of all the things that you have endured in life and gone through.. I'm not sure that I would still be standing if I had to go through what you have gone through. Your faith has been tested and tried for...

Well, I don't know about you...but actually we have S.N.O.W again!! 12 inches so far today. :( I know that it would come back, but didn't know it would THIS soon!!! Oh well..." This too will pass..." At least now we do have a nice new snowblower , so poor old Dave doesn't have to shovel quite...

The verse that comes to me is..'we swallow a camel and strain on a gnat..' ...Spending energy and time on things that don't matter and not "looking to the Lord for the good, edifying things and in the word.. Phil 4-8 " whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things...

I have to agree with @BreadOfLife on this one.. He was drunk...was also naked...the scripture is pretty clear... 21 "And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren...

Childhood

If we’re dealing with disappointment today, it can make us feel empty. Disappointment is draining, isn’t it? God wants to fill us today with leak-proof hope. Don’t we all need hope that doesn’t evaporate in the heat of trials? Thank You for Your hope that is bigger than any disappointment we...

My third posting of this... As I read through the posts on the Site. I thought to myself. “I wonder what kind of Christian Site this would be if all the references to RCC, RC, Catholic , Roman Catholic , and any post about their religion , the Pope etc, were deleted….and vanished!! What if...

Todays muse... And yes, I just posted this in another thread... ========= As I read through the posts on the Site. I thought to myself. “I wonder what kind of Christian Site this would be if all the references to RCC, RC, Catholic , Roman Catholic , and any post about their religion , the...

Agree. Our first old pastor taught us a little phrase. Jesus leads, Satan drives. Being "burned out" is a sure sign that we have moved out of God's anointing for whatever we are doing...and into doing it in our own strength, not His. That was good advice. When we had our own church...

Hi there. Faith is not a "once and for all". Faith is ongoing. "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. " Only those who know how to "hear His Voice" can have the God kind of faith. We have faith that the sun will rise again..that is not active faith. The faith which...

Well I think @bbyrd009 should be on your team too. He is pretty amazing in that he hasn't been here very long ( 16months) and he is "almost" the one with the most posts on the site! Just a thousand posts behind Angelina who has been here since 2011. So I nominate him for your team. :)
