"There but for the grace of God go I."

Haha! Forgot that :)

@amadeus Good study. I liked your idea that once Jacob was called Israel he still had to "grow into the name." Is that not what we are all doing after being placed into Christ...we have not 'arrived' we still have a growing to do until the suit fits!! I know bbyrd009 dislikes the word...

I have not read any posts between the OP and the last post...I will do that after this. I read the link. ( I don't like links much so that was rare for me. :) ) I checked others too... Israel..from the Hebrew name יִשְׂרָאֵל (Yisra'el) meaning "God contended". ie from the Old Testament...

That is a very good question. :) I so wish I had been 'really ready'...I just got baptised because the pastor who lead me to the Lord told me I need to be. Six week later I was baptised. So for me it was just an act of obedience with no understanding of what it all really was signifying. Much...

Guess I took it wrong too...maybe others as well...I also thought you had some point to prove...and were extra specially bugged by some of us. lol

No..don't say that :) The OP was not 'a fail'...you write well, with much more patients and diligence than I do!! We all have things that bother us..mine id those that can only 'see' Jesus as the gentle Jesus meek and mild...yet cannot see Him as in Revelation 1 which IS ... The revelation...

Amen..ditto...and so said all of us... :)

Oh dear ..yawn... Bless your heart...I wish I had $1 for every time I have been told of some rapture....I wish I could believe you...I hate the world and what it has become. Creation is still wonderful...that the corruption , anger, violence, unkindness, and filth...Oh I wish you were...

I often wonder why people can't believe that Paul got his revelation from anyone else but Jesus!!! He was the ambassador of Christ. Here in Christ's stead...the representative of the Lord Jesus Christ.
