All fair thoughts and good observations. However, what if the individual who resists to live according to the fashion of the times. Refuses to cut his hair short like the current fashion... Refuses to follow the fashion of dress but simply presents himself or herself because that is what he/she...

And then there is the class who reject the commandments of God as written, saying they are following Christ, as if the two are not in agreement. To the law and to the testimony. If the do not speak according to this word, there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20 KJV 2 Peter 1 17 For he received...

If I may I would like to quite Ellen White on the authority of scripture. This may come as a surprise to many, considering most believe Adventists follow her, rather than scripture... Christ foresaw that the undue assumption of authority indulged by the scribes and Pharisees would not cease with...

Yet literally there's still that seeming discrepancy. Which do you think the more pertinent... One crazy psycho or two,? Sure, there may be spiritual lessons, but it's still an event that took place and was significant enough to warrant inclusion in 3 of the 4 gospels.

I have somewhat of a different perspective. We are not on trial here, God is. It isn't our characters that are in dispute. It's God's. It isn't our character that's in doubt. There is no doubt about who we are. But God? There is huge confusion, even in the church, as to who God is. What He is...

True, it's not in the text. But imagine the situation. Two crazed wild men suddenly springing out of no where in a cemetery, long hair and beard matted with filth, naked, broken chains hanging from torn bloody wrists, screaming threats and obscenities, and a dozen peace loving disciples stand...

You got to realise that Jesus was left standing on His own when they came out of the tombs. The disciples took off the moment there was a sign of trouble, their superstitions and fears compelling them to consider only one option... Flight. That one of them got the number correct is amazing...

Then why does He not see fit to do so? Why does He need you to to defend it? I agree with your definition. Based on that definition the criticism against Catholicism is therefore not prejudice. Much of the criticism leveled at your church is based on serious concern that the history that so...

Wondering if after back at work ...Church... Sports events... We look around at new world and ask ... why the hell did we let this happen?

False religion is faith in what we do for salvation. True and pure religion is to be found by Jesus doing the work He set out... Feeding the hungry.. Clothing the naked... Bringing the poor that are homeless to your house... Visiting the sick and imprisoned... Looking after orphans and widows...

Why is that do you think? Is it really just some sort of perverted nonsensical unfounded innate hatred by non Catholics against Catholics as BoL would have you think? Or is there a deeper more solid theological and prophetic foundation to their objections... Or protests if you prefer? Just for...

Do you believe that the judgement that is currently dividing the sheep from the goats will come to this forum and declare it exempt? I agree with hidden, although I wouldn't single out just this forum... It is working it's way through the whole church. Division is coming. In the final analysis...

Although I think you and i will be surprised at what that final church will look like. And do you realise that final church will be the Laodicean church... Repentant? Oh, and it won't be based in Rome. And that's spiritual Jerusalem... But there will also be an equally powerful and vibrant...

Would have liked this several times if I could.

I would never discount dreams or visions... Lol I'm an Adventist. And when they harmonise with scripture? More power to both. I'm of the view that there is enough in scripture to reveal the true nature of Babylon... Antichrist (two different entities though closely related) and identify them...

As an addendum to the above... Peter said judgement shall begin in the house of God...I am convinced it began some time ago.

Like sheep from goats???

But we are getting away from the original topic... Where in the Bible does it say I must use it? Others have already given an appropriate answer to that... Jesus was our example and He answered the devil 3 times with "it is written". And concluded that with a quote from the OT, "man shall not...

God calls us to be witnesses to His character, which is good. Always. He is not calling us to be lawyers looking for theological loop holes in order to exclude people from heaven. The scriptures are the final authority on the character of God, but are not the only means by which that character...

That gets even more hairy when one considers the reasons for God allowing the flood. Was God destroying the human race... Or preserving it... Through Noah? Who knows that perhaps the human race was on the verge of destroying itself perhaps a year or even less, later? Which gives us a different...
