Don't be dwelling so much on when and where you failed or someone else apparently did not... in the past! Yesterday and even an hour ago is already gone. Good, bad or indifferent you cannot change that which is past. Now is the time... "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice...

I have never owned a rifle or a handgun. I spent three years in the US Army during which time I was not a conscientious objector (C.O.). I went through basic training and learned to fire an M-14 rifle receiving a qualifying medal and later they showed me how to operate an M-60 machine gun for...

Indeed! "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." John 9:5 "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are" John 17:11 "Ye are the...

Just keep on trusting God and asking for His help. He is always able!

@APAK Praying now for your sister!

I don't know. I am reading and considering what each one has said here,, but I really don't know. God's people were delivered in Egypt and from the Midianites. Those who are His now are, or are to be, delivered as well. The sword on the other hand kills those who are Not to be delivered...

I keep telling my wife that it is fortunate for us, in the flesh, that we are approaching closely the end of our course. For our children and grandchildren as they move closer to what Hitler's Germany was from it beginning, it may become a painful thing indeed. For WWII, a timely assassination...

@TLHKAJ @APAK Thank you for sharing your knowledge and concerns. I am in prayer with you and others for God's help here.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Prov 22:6 But the children of those parents who do not so train their children, what should they expect?

It also goes along with what Paul wrote here: "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself." Phil 2:3 And then again, Who is my brother? "But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who...

Yes, it may be an unpopular answer, but I've long believed it to be a better answer according to the scriptures than any other I have heard!

I wouldn't say 'controlled' by the Spirit, but rather surrendered to the Spirit so as to be led by that same Holy Spirit. For this reason the Apostle Paul writes this warning: "Quench not the Spirit." I Thess 5:19 When a person quenches the Holy Spirit in himself he gives dominion back to the...

Indeed, this old stamp collector has a lighted magnifying light as well as a good hand held magnifying glass and still on some of the hard to see markings and perforations I know that I miss the mark. [Pardon my pun, but I just could not resist!] @April_Rose On the three H's of the OP I also...

Thank you! Be blessed as well!

Thank you for that! I had missed that connection. Probably we could tie in the beheading of John the Baptist here as well. The ephod was something especially worn/used by the Aaronic priests, but David, not of the tribe of Levi, also became involved.

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good...

Not time yet to remove the ruling king of darkness from among men. "...for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full." Gen 15:16 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;... A time to kill, and a time to heal...
