Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

You can't even quote it correctly... Jesus did not give the Holy Spirit any authority. None. Much less Peter. That's the point, and the failure of your whole position. That's not the problem. The problem is not that the Catholics or the Protestants departed from what is written. The problem...

    To hell with me

They do not inflict pain on themselves in hell, but rather inflicted pain throughout their whole life making them who they are. Just as God is eternally "I am", they too are eternally "I am whatever their life has made them." Life in the world is their "hour of decision." They do it to themselves.

    To hell with me

Yes...I do know. If you are commenting with the thought that this is all just what people want to "believe", you are wrong. Some of us do not merely believe, but know, and know from God Himself. The entire history (His story) of God and His people is marked down through the ages with some who...

The concept of "already but not yet", i.e., "I am" but not yet. Yeah right!

The problem is more one of the human tenancy to dwell in the ways of the world, rather than accepting the eternal "I am" nature of God after it has been given to them. People want to consider that salvation is "a process." But there is no process with God or His business - He is "the same...

    To hell with me

God does not "inflict pain." It is people who inflict pain, and God who judges righteously, saying "Amen", meaning: So be it. In other words, God says "I am." But it is people who choose and say for themselves who they are.

ONLY ONE GOSPEL ? Or Not

What is it that you are saying that is different, that make you believe there is more than one gospel?

Your campaign is darkness, putting men even above the Holy Spirit (God). I have shown you the light. But you prefer revering men. So be it.

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

Perhaps you weren't paying attention or were blinded by your own anti-whatever pet peeve, but I quoted the same scripture ("For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.") for both Catholics and Protestants. Nonetheless, both have manufactured a non-biblical...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

I have been nothing but honest. But here after denying that you made claims of Peter...you go on and on making still more claims of Peter until you finally break it off saying "the list goes on..." And of course it does, because Peter is a big part of Jesus' ministry, and he ours. But it is now...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

It doesn't matter whether you are Catholic or Protestant, having an intermediary between you and Jesus besides the Holy Spirit...is not biblical. There is no refuting it. "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus." "Throw away?" - You should "pluck your eye...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

Not sure who Jack Chick is...but, no, you have not shown that Jesus transferred His own authority unto Peter. You have only shown how you wrongly interpret it. You are not properly representing all of scripture, only part, that part which suits you. Jesus did not call Peter aside or call a...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

    A. No, it assumes that by reading the account of Jesus asking His disciples who they say He is, that you would recognize that the greater topic was not Peter's involvement, but God's. In other words, there is a fork in the road at that juncture, and some go one way and some go the other. But...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

No, I only have a problem when the authority is abused or not according to the whole of scripture. Where men take license that was not given to them, simply by limiting the interpretation in favor of them taking charge. Jesus' words regarding authority come under His first announcement that He...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

By this same measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Obviously you don't see it...I mean you don't even see in your own quotes above, that whoever is given the Holy Spirit...has no authority of "his own." But when I tell you the very same thing that you quote Jesus saying - you do...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

The only thing I said about authority was that all authority was given to Jesus. What is your problem? Do you have a problem with me saying that?

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

You kid yourself. If you followed God, he would not have the name of a man, nor could he be seen. As for authority, "all authority in heaven and on the earth has been given to the Son", and "a servant is not greater than his master." "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled."

    When He Returns!

While the bible is definitely the word of God, it is wrong to campaign against so called "spiritualizing." "God is spirit", and thus, you "have taken away the key of knowledge" just as the lawyers did whom Jesus condemned. In fact, it is more biblically correct to say that God is in the process...

    Are We Required to Tithe?

Every monetary law or debt was paid in full by Christ on the cross, in blood. Now we give simply for the good of the saints.

    When He Returns!

The last verse I quoted was Jesus' last word to those who did the same, and why I quoted it...but they crucified Him. Thanks for just bowing out.

And that is why it is a matter of spiritual "discernment." Lest, with the two possible interpretations and two possible named subjects, some will follow a man, and some will follow God. "Follow Me." Duh!
