    "Another" Helper

    Great question! Jhn 14:16 And G2532 I G1473 will pray G2065 the Father, G3962and G2532 he shall give G1325 you G5213 another G243Comforter, G3875 that G2443 he may abide G3306 with G3326you G5216 for G1519 ever; G165 ἄλλος állos, al'-los; a primary word; "else," i.e. different (in many...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

And therein lies the problem. What you call "Christ's Church" was suspect since Jesus called out 5 out of the 7 churches recorded in the book of Revelation. I have given you the specific departure that lead to their error - but you have not received it. Therefore, you remain within the error...

    "Another" Helper

There is another key to understanding this in Paul's comment that "to live is Christ." By this, he did not mean that he was the same man, Jesus Christ. But rather that being "in Christ" and "Christ in him", he to manifested the things of Christ...which is the key. You see, it is Christ who...

    "Another" Helper

Yes, indeed. And yet of the same name as "helper", Eve was nothing of the sort...but represents a foreshadowing in the natural of what we have with the Holy Spirit in the spiritual.

    "Another" Helper

All good. The distinction that I was pointing out is that of Eve also being named as a "helper"...and yet is as different as the natural and the spiritual. Thanks!

Does Jesus give people a 2nd chance after death?

This is a difficult subject. But time is an illusion, and the interface from time to eternity is a matter of us coming to God...which is the second coming, "that where He is, there we might be also." But very interestingly, that time vs. eternity interface or equation, means we all leave "each...

Does Jesus give people a 2nd chance after death?

It is written that "the saints will judge the world"...therefore, the judgement is not after the end of the world, but before.

    "Another" Helper

Same, same. 1 Corinthians 15:46 "However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual." ...Much can be learned by looking at the foreshadowing of what happens first in the natural.

Does Jesus give people a 2nd chance after death?

"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt." ...would indicate that judgement actually happens before the resurrection.

Does Jesus give people a 2nd chance after death?

Paul eluded to the end when he proclaimed that each comes, "each in his own order." And before that, Jesus also eluded to the end when He proclaimed that "No one knows the day nor the hour." There is only one time that meets this criteria: death. For every other time of life can be known...if...

    "Another" Helper

The idea brings such communion or community to the gifts of the Spirit in action.

Does Jesus give people a 2nd chance after death?

If the end can truly be called the end...what could possibly happen after the end? Indeed, we shall sing a new song. But there is no encore after the final act of this world, no second chances, no do-overs. The end, is the end. Forever.

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

It is the world that is upside down, and by the world you have made the scriptures something they were not intended to be. Your interpretation means nothing, certainly lacks any authority, because you have made whatever scriptures suit you, to contradict: 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and...

    "Another" Helper

When you read of Christ sending "another" Helper...what comes to mind? "Another", in addition to whom? Most would automatically think Jesus meant another Helper in addition to Himself. After all...isn't Jesus an absolutely great helper? Well, of course! But He was not sent to "help" the world...

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

Your idea of authority is upside down, and therefore shall be overturned. Had you the love of Christ, you might have been spared.

    To hell with me

You don't need a sound mind, only a simple belief that the Father sent His Son (Jesus) to save you out of the world. Meanwhile, look to Him to guide you in daily life - His plan for your life (such as it is) is perfect for you. In the end, you shall see and come into the fullness of Christ, and...

    To hell with me

Close enough. What I meant, was that eternal permanence is established by each person, in and during this life, here in the world.

Upon THIS Rock I will build my Church

Now you have circled back, and still you do not see that Jesus did not give Peter any more authority than He gave the Holy Spirit. Should I act like you and ask if you need help with your reading? ...Oh, no - that would be rude, and childish, and lacking the love of Christ.
  19. ScottA

    To hell with me

Why? What's your point? I, nor Paul, said it pertained to all who are of the Spirit. God has appointed each to His own purpose.

    To hell with me

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Although I can and do claim it, this not my own original statement, but rather a biblical fact: "We have the mind of Christ." If you are not aware of this fact and reality, or how it works, perhaps we can discuss it. Nonetheless, it is a fact.
