Ridiculous, yes, when man does it his own way. It reminds us perhaps of his efforts in building the Tower of Babel [Gen 11], but there a better Way that has been provided in which... "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he...

@Episkopos So then God being very aware of and actually basing His plan for men, at least in part, on man's problems with knowledge gave man a different road to walk... leading from faith to knowledge... "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his...

I include the Book of Proverbs in a secondary continuous reading of mine which starts with Psalms and ends with Song of Solomon, which I read prayerfully. Although I have been doing this for years, the richness still at times seems to me as scarcely tapped at all. Perhaps it is that God has...

Is he not the one drawn to sin as a result of the temptations still in us? When and if we are submitted to the Holy Spirit the old man will never get his way and we do not sin. What actually has happened is that each of us for some reason [one is become weary in well doing] quenches the Holy...

That not entirely true. I grew up as a Catholic staying with them faithfully as an altar boy partaking of communion weekly over the years. During my teenage years my plan was to become a Catholic priest. Of course that never happened. I left the CC at age 18 after graduating from high school...

@My Dreams Praying for you now my friend! Our God is able in every situation!

@Mayflower Keeping you in prayer, sister!

I infer nothing. I very simply strive to understand and obey God! Who is your head?

We pray for God to have His will no matter what the pain or the cost to the flesh!

I remember when I first started to work for Social Security in 1974 there were a couple of programs for the very old that were not included in the original Social Security Act signed in 1935. One such program to pay a monthly check was called "Special Age 72 Benefits". It was for people who had...

This is why it is so very important for each of us to depict in ourselves for everyone to see just exactly what Jesus was/is!

Perhaps he does understand how Christianity is seen by many people while not understanding Jesus at all. They are not the same, are they?

Is that what I am? Does that mean I can be a baby again or does it mean that I already am?

Are we sheep in His flock or not? "To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not...

Thank you! Wow! It seems that further ahead I get, the further behind I get. All of these years and this is a new one to me. I was thinking maybe it had to do with one of the tribulation beliefs that people are often discussing here. Hmmm? Communication!

I read quickly through each one, but one thing I did not find is the definition of the word you used: millennial. What is a millennial?

While this may be so, how many of them are on the Lord's side? Compromise is not the answer from God. If there are two sides, is either one of them clearly on God's side on every point? Jesus was willing to walk alone rather than to compromise the Way of God. How many today would join in with...

And one thing that we know could or would be to lean not on our own understanding. Do we know the difference between our own understanding and the understanding of God within us?

So you have thus decided because you disagree with my understanding. One of these days, hopefully, you will allow the Holy Spirit and scripture to lead you to a better understanding of what God desires of you instead of using so much human logic and the clichés you have learned to secure what...

Unfortunately, I really did not expect you to understand. You are seemingly stuck in a stagnating groove. I am praying for you!
