And then with regard to Love: "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent...

"And the Word was made flesh,...: John 1:14 So then when we eat the Word of God as when we read the scriptures or listen to a person speaking the Word of God are we not eating his flesh?

They did two important things mentioned in the verses I quoted: 1) they received the word with all readiness of mind 2) searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. How "ready" are our minds? Readyiness as used means what? proqumiva Prothumia (proth-oo-mee'-ah); Word Origin...

Yes and you would say probably that happened when all of the Bible was written. But I would say that for any of us it will not have happened until all of the Word of God required is written in our hearts. "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto...

Nothing but those who have overcome it all there, huh? No greed? @bbyrd009 Now we know where heaven is!

The idea, I believe, comes from here: "And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the...

@marks @Brakelite2 I found this, but the meaning seems to be a bit different: "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come...

@Rita I also wish for you and your twin a very heartfelt happy birthday!

"And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is...

My friend, I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1976. I also received a gift of tongues from God. For many years now I have used this gift of tongues in my daily prayer life with God. It has made a difference to my walk with Him because He has been and is in it. You may disbelieve that...

Lots of arguments to others, but if I am remembering correctly, you have not committed your own body to obtaining a single tatoo. Why such a positive stance against something you are not doing yourself? As you know I am solidly with @Candidus on this. I was glad to hear him come up with more...

Amen! Give God the glory! He is not finished with us yet!

All characteristics visible for all to see? That might be the case for all those who have "eyes to see"? Hmmm? Unbelievers are blind and many believers have poor vision or close their eyes or both. If we all had perfect eyes to see, spiritually, we would not have thousands of church groups...

@My Dreams Praying that God will make a way for the two of you to be reconciled. Our God is able!

Yes, indeed, count the cost while trusting absolutely in God alone!

@hldude33 Give God the glory!

AT or Absolute Truth is what God has or perhaps what Jesus is. Until we are able to see Him face to face and hear clearly His every Word, do we have it? Do we see it? If any on us are ever wrong about anything with regard to God and the things of God, are we able to state clearly to anyone...

Changes in vision! Seeking more Light! Growing closer to God... or simply sitting in what I already have until we stagnate and what vision we had is gone? "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that...

Yes, Jesus as our true foundation would support us, but the building [you and me] must be leaning heavily and primarily on its foundation. What happens when people lean on something else, such their own minds, or their secular governments, or their churches, or the human leaders of their...
