I tend to avoid these kinds of threads but I do believe this is correct. The way some write imply that Satan has yet to rebel OR they discontinue the timeline to fit their doctrines, which deny concurrent running of 1,000 years.

Ouch! Do you praise God with that mouth?

Great, great point! I tire of denominational strife. Individual strife, I'm OK with, despite @RLT63's concerns of hypocrisy as I believe it is consistent with iron sharpens iron. Campaigning against a team of saints because they compiled doctrines you don't agree with goes against Jesus...

that regardless and irregardless mean the same thing.

As long as the obvious conclusion is the basis for KJV is not as reliable as the more modern translations, I'm good. Funny how you rely on these YouTube vid of layman to make your case.

Sadly, you were not able to answer my question.

Just an aside. This reminds me of how many non-believers reason for not believing is that they cannot accept WHY things unfolded the way they did. Why not some other way, they lament? God is sovereign and why (or us understanding why) he chose to reveal himself in the manner he did does not...

What’s better about it? Just curious.

I had the VOICE translation of Ephesians 4:29 put on a coffee mug. It has convicted me more than any other.

As Yoda said, the Dark side is hard to see. It's true on many levels. And the Armor of God is our protection - and by contrast - being sensitive to what is it's opposite. Don't pray. That's a stupid prayer. Don't read the book. You're too stupid to properly understand it. The translation got...

I am saddened how people are focused on doing the least they can do to expand the Kingdom of God.

OK. Thought I’d take a break from heavy threads. We all love the Bible and the thread title is unfair. How can we limit it to one verse that is your favorite? Yet, that is the challenge. If you must, expand to OT & NT. I’d also like to know why that particular verse is your favorite? What is...

No. Saying you must read their preferred version to be saved, reading other translations are of the devil, etc. Read the early posts in this thread for details.

Oy vey! It does include that. People are called champ, president, governor, mom. I watched a movie last night. It starred the lead actor in Harry Potter. This is a fictional characters name and my wife knew who I was talking about even though she did not recognize the actor's name. There is a...

I know you want to label me a hypocrite. The annoying thing about hypocrites is that they are correct about YOU doing wrong. It seems like you want to have the last word. Why do you keep talking about it? The competitiveness is unbecoming. 1st, you want to demean Christian denominations by use...

We love our brother Mike. (Just kidding, @marks). He means well, although he struggles to be corrected on even small matters. I think we all know 'sons of God' is an expression referring to fallen angels. However, there is more than one sense of words OR in this case, more than one sense of the...
