    The creation of Eve

What is your point then - that "Jesus didn't escape the 'world?'"

    Catholics

By your measure the Word of God contradicts Himself. But you are not the measure of God, nor His Word. Nor can you quote one scripture, or many, to void my own quote. Because you do so, is an obvious sign that you simply do not understand - because you cannot reconcile God's Word. But, I can...

    ' 1000 Years. '

The "thousand years" is a figure of speech, as is "a time, times, and half a time." More importantly to our understanding, is that it represents a period of Christ's reign on earth. So...when did Christ gain his victory? When did He overcome the world? At the cross, of course. That marks the...

Not so...not like that: Matthew 23:8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Matthew 23:9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

    The creation of Eve

Don't be too quick to call names... Yes, Jesus has a body - we are his body. But we "do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain." As for "escaping" the flesh - He did not escape, but lowered Himself, died, and rose from the dead. We, if we are in the flesh, are the dead. But if alive...

Of course Jesus called Peter by name...he was intimately involved with Christ's announcement of how he would build His church. It was a milestone of Christ's own ministry - and Peter got to be a part of it. That's awesome! Nonetheless, the "subject" of their conversation was more importantly...

    The creation of Eve

The verses are good, but apparently you do not understand them. Christ coming in the flesh, was a matter of "lowering" Himself. That is not the end game, however. Our confessing his coming, is our "belief" in Him and his plan for our salvation. Christ showing himself as having been crucified...

    The creation of Eve

Absolutely! He is risen...meaning, transcended from the flesh to be the same as God the Father: God is spirit. But do not think of that as less, but more. Because, God is fully capable to manifest in any form...but to lower Himself again - never!

    Mother Teresa: Saint or Ain't

If you are going to be honest and yourself judgmental, be a little more accurate and observant. You might actually read the post. I wasn't commenting on Mother Teresa, but on Paul.

    The creation of Eve

Nonetheless, the world is removed from God, not of the kingdom...a creation sent outside, put away. It is then up to the Husband to come for her.

    Mother Teresa: Saint or Ain't

You're being argumentative. We weren't talking about judging one's soul. But thanks for the Mother Teresa quote.

    The creation of Eve

You are leaving out "the rest of the story." Even so, the fall was "in the beginning", and the rest of history (His story) is about the need for salvation from our wicked selves. Granted, the overall plan of God is perfect...in spite of our downfall, and the fact that we are not perfect. As for...

    Mother Teresa: Saint or Ain't

Indeed...it all depends on where a person is in their walk. Paul spoke to both the born again and to those new in the faith. Good point!

    Cessationism vs continuationism

Not big on 'isms...so I had to look them up. But it would appear to be a ridiculous question - of course the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue...these are the days of which it is written: "I will pour out My spirit on all flesh."

    Mother Teresa: Saint or Ain't

We are simply not to judge one another. The reason Paul states, is that we can't possibly know the designs God has on another's life. So, then, if we judge, we in effect are judging God. Paul's advice is good.

Secession should be considered and allowed

Interesting. The problem though, is that you can't secede from your neighbor without moving...which I have done. But leaving my state to the corrupt, just doesn't set well. Wars and rumors of wars, I guess.

    The creation of Eve

No denigration intended. Just the measure that God has place upon it: "fallen", "lower", "lost", etc., not to be confused with any declaration of His glory...heaven forbid, the image of manifestation is not equal to or greater than that which is on high. How do you know?

    Asexual marriages

The biblical model of marriage manifest in the world among the fallen, in whatever form, is imperfect. The best (and the purpose), just as it is described by God, is between a man and a woman...later explained as a model of the relationship of Christ and the church - which is the [only] reason...

    Universalism ?

It depends on how you define "the world." If you define the world as the world defines the world, you include both that which is of God, as well as what is not. But God does not. The world is God's place of separating (dividing) that which is worldly/darkness from that which is godly/light. So...

    The creation of Eve

The creation of Eve was an aside, as is the world.
