Doctrine is about theology, like there is a God. Wisdom addresses attitude and action, like beginning with fearing God and looking both ways before crossing the street. :D

Same experience here. A common denominator I've found is when I act without my ego, I am aligned with God. When my self-interest drives my actions - such as in reaction to my enemies - I find I tend to not reflect God's glory.
