And who do you presume God is talking to in these verses?

Facilitators. At work many meetings progress with me functioning as a facilitator. Like Christ, I serve as a natural bridge or gate. Dispassionate about the result, my concern is the be sure there is a logical progression to the discussion and all sides participate. The relationship is more...

You seem pre-occupied with the numbers. I don't know anything about elders but the whole church seems pretty clear. And I would add for practicality, who is there at the time - provided to foul play. For instance, my wife and I split between in person service and watching it on line. We may or...

And the OP is hopelessly wrong. God is one, not 3 in 1.Thst is direct in Deut 6:4

Hmmm. There is a lot of articles on the subject. Certainly, the fertility rate is suicidal in Western Civilization. :-(

You are a poet! Much thanks.

Naturally, you have to rely on a horrible translation to make your case. (A:vi, S: v) 4 “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; CJB Listen, Israel: Yahweh is our Elohim. Yahweh is the only God. (NOG) Moses: 4 Listen, Israel! The Eternal is...

If I may interject ... Mary, you seem to suppose the whole congregation is deeply divided (51/49) over what constitutes sin. It seems the point Ferris Bueller is making about how to treat an unrepetent sinner in the body. So, from an outsiders perspective, it appears you to are having 2...

I learned the porn industry is bigger than the NFL, NBA and MLB combined in terms of revenue. I confess that my primary non-chemical addiction concern is not pornography but electronic. People are losing social skills. Young people are not actually having sex - or even interested in dating. Our...

Because your yelling, I cannot hear you. Make a Blessed Day!

No. Accepting one is under the authority of a civil power is what the Bible verse means. There is nothing about venerating agents of evil in all of Scripture. For you to write such a thing shows you are attempting to use God's word against him chosen people. I'll pray for you.

Never read through the thread on Evidence to Be Seen, huh?

Yea, it's best to leave government to the most evil among us. Good thing the FF did not think that way.

A friend had this addiction. When he went to counseling, the therapist showed him 2 brain scans. One was of a port addict. The other was the brain scan of a person on crystal meth. One brain scan showed significantly less brain activity than the other. When asked, which was which, my friend...

The same could be said about many things. Where would you be without food, water, shelter, clothing money, air to breath, space, time, a healthy body and mind, etc? The point is about idolatry. The lesson of Abraham being told to sacrifice his son is to not value the gift more than the giver...

I wish the acrimony on this thread could be toned down. We are brothers in Christ, united by faith, not putting each other's knowledge down.

I thought Jesus was resurrected bodily. What Scripture verse says that Jesus - and us - will be resurrected into a spirit being?

Oh? Where is this answer? The yes or no question is do you think God wants us to live a life in rebellion to his will? As I recall, you replied with 2 questions of your own but ignored mine. And your last post resorted to personal attacks. This shows you are a tough talking coward, afraid of...

Then why are you posting in this thread?

Other than Trump, Desantis looks like a star in the GOP.
