Hi Amadeus, I pretty much had your experience. BUT, why would those nice nuns lie to us?? I don't believe they did. I'd love to understand the ONENESS doctrine better. Regarding your statement which I highlighted, it is easy enough to understand. To baptize in the name of the Father, the Son...

Very good and clear post. Could you explain HOW satan uses us? I mean, of course, as relating to the quotes you used to explain the reason he was cast out of heaven. How do WE further his cause?

@breathofdesire P.S. I don't really expect an answer. Just something to think about. (in case you already haven't)

Hi BoD You ask a very interesting question. Why did satan fall? Would not something negative and evil have caused him to fall? What would that negative or evil be? Where did it come from?

Hi Mary, I agree with what you've said above although I am Protestant in my theology and doctrine. No Church has everything 100% biblically correct, or at least what I can see as biblically correct after studying both church's theology and doctrine, I am very torn but feel the Protestant...

Jesus' body and face is the image of God in the sense that Jesus is God and we have some perception of what Jesus looked like. However, Jesus is not God Father. God Father is spirit. We have no idea what God Father looks like. The OT tells us that no one has seen the Father. Sorry. No Bible...

I agree. Mystery could be something that is understood only partially.

101 You mentioned that souls are at stake. Does this mean that if one does not have the correct Trinity doctrine he is lost? I asked this on the PO.

We're told we're to believe a doctrine that could not be understood. Tomorrow...

"And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son..." Creed of the Cristian faith. Or,,, one of them, at least.

I do believe this says it all and covers the confusion. Funny, but all true.

God the Father called the son God. God begets God.

The protoevangdlium is believed to be a fake. This discussion was going on in a different thread. Thanks for the rest. I'd like to use it for that thread, if you don't mind. MaryMog is holding up your fort and doing a good job.

About Jesus not having brothers, being an only child, something like that. I never found anything. Maybe the didache,,,comes to mind...

Sure. In the meantime, I'm sure you know that the Son of Man was a title given to the Messiah. Daniel 7:13-14

I don't see how Josephus could have interviewed Mary. She kind of faded into the background by the time the Epistles started to be written. Do you know of any ECF who spoke to this? I can t find any,,, I've tried. I mean about Jesus not having g brothers.

Wait. I see what you mean. You're saying that flesh can be born but not spirit. Spirit is given. Right! This is also true in our case. Were born but we receive our spirit when born again . Great point. I see it as the opposite though. Body outside, spirit inside.

PS If you want a real discussion, it'll have to be tomorrow.

I never like to argue. I'm no longer at my computer and am very limited. Regarding the above... I don't see the difference between what I said and what you're saying... Could you tell me the difference?

I agree that we must be able to understand Jesus. He came here SPECIFICALLY so that we may understand HIM and bring us God's message. The reason Jesus had to come here to us is because we CANNOT understand GOD. I was referring to God in my post, not Jesus. I sure hope you don't post that you...
